"Bad neighborhoods" are almost always the lowest income neighborhoods. Do you think the people who don't want to live in what is considered a bad neighborhood don't like poor people or are concerned about higher crime?
My mom used to live in the city, and now it's a shithole
The street where she lived. It used to be a nice place. Now it's a shithole *
It's all about the crime. In all honesty a person should try to buy the most expensive house in the most exclusive neighborhood to keep the scum of the earth away from one's family.
No one "wants" to live in a bad neighborhood. It's a matter of means and necessity.
Many times those "bad neighborhoods" used to be nice neighborhoods
Agreed. My grandpa once told me about what a beautiful place Detroit used to be.
Yes it was
It is scary coming into the U.S. Across the bridge and you come out in "little Mexico" or something. Full of gangs and dirty and scary. Really a bad image. That's 45 years of democrat rule.
Coleman Young and Kwame Kilpatrick. I'd laugh if it weren't so sad and pathetic that the citizens kept voting for those crooks.
I've seen nice neighborhoods destroyed by the government supporting people who can't afford it to live there.
There are plenty of poor people that are good people. People that work hard. Love their children. Don't do drugs. They're the ones that are victims of the scumbags.
Poverty and crime go hand in hand. The culture of those who commit crime is also highly correlated. Don't care for any of it.
Definitely the crime and the president wants to incorporate the poor people - not all criminals but there will be some - into nice neighborhoods.
This poll is based off comments from some that people who don't want to live in a bad neighborhood just don't like being around poor people. I think most just don't want to increase chances of being victimized.
Or live in a dumpy area, I like to see well maintained houses
I don't live in such areas for fear of poor people, it's the crime. Many poor people are some the nicest and most generous you'll ever meet. Unfortunately, they also have a greater propensity towards committing crimes.
For me it's crime. I don't want to live in a neighborhood where my family is at a higher risk for being assaulted.
