The Animals were a 1960's Blues Rock group from the UK. Despite greatly influencing rock and roll and being at the forefront of the British Invasion, they have since fallen into obscurity. Have you heard of The Animals before?
Met Martin G last night doing a winery concert- organist- 8 years an animal years with Iron Butterly- and other gigs.... He just left Iron Butterfly two months ago.
That's really their only famous song nowadays. I've heard songs by them only twice on the radio, interestingly enough, neither were House of the Rising Sun.
I believe The Animals are one of the most underrated, underplayed bands, despite their success in the 1960's. Here is one of my favourites by them: It's My Life youtu.be/s0KlOmrqdyY
Absolutely. Their version of "House of the Rising Sun" defines that song. I believe they did it in one take.
Also, "We got to Get Out of This Place," "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood," and "I'm Crying."
