Outside of anatomy, aren't most gender roles assigned by society?
Partially gender roles are a construct of society, but also of the chemical makeup within the mind. For instance, women have more estrogen and men have more testosterone.
No because there is also gender psychology
So do you think cavemen would have realized something was different when they felt like a cave woman?
Not to be a smartass. But I can't see this being an issue without society.
I'm not sure quite what you are trying to get at
In general, woman and men are wired differently.
Roles are decisions.
God set up the roles. Woman was create as a helper and campion to man.
Ten bucks says your not a woman
Has nothing to do with me. I didn't create women.
Oh please. I'm not here to be your helper
You make it sound so negative.
My wife is very much my helper. There are many things I couldn't do with her help. I thank God that he saw man needed help and created Eve.
My husband is just as much my helper and companion as I am his. I am not inferior to him just because I happen to be a woman
You were the one that made it sound negative. And I have the same relationship with my husband. We help each other. But I resent being told I was created for the purpose of being a helper to someone else
Like I said in an earlier reply. God set the roles, not me.
I would say they gender roles are generally based in practicality. Even if the reasons don't exist any longer.
This poll was inspired by my last one. Trying to understand gender dysphoria in more depth tonight.
