Worse way to wake up: with a large, hairy tarantula crawling across your face, or with a large rattlesnake coiled on your chest?
I kinda have arachnophobia, but the snake is statistically more dangerous than the spider and so I would take the spider over the snake.
Although it's completely insane, the spider would scare me more than a snake. I have a super irrational fear of spiders.
The face is what makes it worse! Even if it can't hurt you.
A rattle snake can kill me so... Spider it is!!!
Right! If it was a non poisonous snake, then the spider would be worse.
I would seriously shit myself if I woke to a rattlesnake on my chest. You'd hear me scream like a banshee.
Snakes are bad but I'd take them over spiders!
Tarantulas aren't venomous so I'd go with that.
Not afraid of either, however the bite from the snake could kill me... So I'll take the tarantula
Attention. Poison =/= Venom
many tarantulas don't even bit that bad
Hmm. Tough decision.
The snake is more poisonous, I assume, so I guess that would be worse.
Nope. I guarantee that the snake is not poisonous.
Yea definitely not poisonous. Venomous tho
Tarantulas are harmless to humans so I'd definitely rather have that on me when I wake up
Not harmless. But also not fatal
Either way I'd have a coronary, no need to bite me.
The spider won't kill you.
Both. I like both of them
Oh crap, I am deathly afraid of spiders but the rattlesnake is much more dangerous
Seriously? Tarantulas aren't even poisonous! They can leave a rash on your arm, but nothing else. Rattlesnakes. While 'nother story!
Techniqually neither one is poisonous
Thanks for the nightmare. The two things I fear the most! 😩
I woke up at the Benbow Inn with a bat sitting on my face. Definitely got my attention. Closed the window after that too.
I'm surprised people picked the snake. Very bad choice.
It's saying which one is worse
The Snake will KILL YOU the spider will not...
Gee, thank you for the nightmare set up!
How. Do. You. Choose?!?!
Which one will kill you?
Large, hairy tarantula may be scary, but it's not poisonous.
Neither are poisonous
The spider probably won't bite. However, the snake has a much higher risk of going for you.
Tarantulas can't kill you, easy decision
Either one would freak me out. I stepped on a rattlesnake one time. Neither one of us was happy about it.
So what happened? Did it try to bite you?
I can swat away the spider and say "die Muthaf*****" all at the same time! Lol
Spider, though It might make me frighten me more than the snake. The tarantula isn't likely to hurt me and can't do serious damage. The rattlesnake can do serious damage and could give me a nasty injury, or remotely possibly kill me.
I also wouldn't want to be stuck with the bill for a snake bite treatment. See link.
I think I'm quicker than the snake, but a tarantula face bite would be very bad.
Lol ur not quicker than a snake strike
Why not? Snake strikes are slow compared to experienced human punches, and I'm used to those.
That is false
Naw, bro. Rattlesnakes strike at about 8-10 feet per second. Humans hit way faster.
See how well punching a snake works out for you
Uhh it's on your chest, it's going to bite you... Also the spider won't kill you the snake will
I don't plan on punching it. I plan on grabbing it by the neck. A tarantula bite around your breathing orifices is a potentially lethal problem, too.
I feel like your just playing devils advocate because you sound kinda silly
Nope, just choosing the adversary I'm most comfortable dealing with.
Except losing to the snake means death. Losing to the spider means an irritating rash...
It's just pure arrogance lol
The rash is less irritating if swelling where you breathe kills you...
Regardless, I'm more comfortable driving to the store than walking even though if I fail at driving I can die, and if I fail at walking, I bruise a knee.
So really what's just pure arrogance is you guys sitting here trying to tell me which I would rather wake up to.
That's the biggest apples to oranges comparison I've seen ever
tarantulas very rarely bite humans and when they do it causes a rash. Rattle snakes would absolutely bite you and kill you in that situation. I think it's arrogance and ignorance mixed
Rattlesnake, because Tarantulas are generally aware of how much stronger humans are than them, so they usually don't fight us.
Except if it did fight you losing to the the snake would mean death while only a rash by the tarantula
The tarantula would freak me out because it's on my face, but spiders don't really bother me. I am terrified of snakes however. Also, being bitten by a rattlesnake is more serious than being bitten by a tarantula.
Tarantulas are mostly harmless and quite laid back whereas rattlesnakes are fast and deadly. If you had said black widow, that would've made it a more even match.
Spider. I hate spiders.
Snake. I could handle it more calmly, go to the er if it bites me. I think I would have a mental breakdown if a tarantula ever touched me.
Thanks for that.
Both thoughts make me want to cry and never sleep again...
The tarantula probably won't bite
You could smack a spider off your face. Good luck being faster than the snake
Tarantulas are actually very docile and friendly spiders. When kept as pets, then tend to form bonds with their owners. I honestly wouldn't even mind waking up to a Tarantula in the bed.
The snake is more scary and more deadly. The spider can be knocked off easily and are not as threatening.
Somewhere in another realm, critters are asking each other:
"Would you rather have to lie down on a gigantic human's rumbling stomach or crawl across its filthy mouth?"
I've woke up with a cockroach right by my mouth once. So I can imagine the tarantula. And say the snake would be worse.
What the? Did you feel it, wipe it off, and then see it? How did you ever sleep again? I'm impressed...I would have freaked the fuck out.
I woke up, heard the hissing and felt something by my mouth, smacked it off my face. Then had to find something to kill it with haha.
Wow. The chirpy hissing sound of insects can be nightmarish. I avoid killing bugs (I have a humane catch-and-release device), but that's a scary story.
Cockroaches hiss? I didn't think I could like them any less.
I wasn't about to play around and save the cockroach that day lol. And yes certain types can make a very prominent hissing sound, it's awful, and for some terrifying to say the least.
The spider would cause an immediate freak out which would likely get me bit. I would not be happy about the snake, but I think I can keep from completely freaking out.
The spider would probably be easier to throw quickly... I may have to rethink this.
Probably the snake bc the hairy spider crawling on my face would scare the living shit out of me
...or having that kind of a roommate...
I'd rather either of these than the noise of a crying infant
The thought of either is terrifying...
the thought of having a fist-sized spider crawling on me waking up...Jesus god man. are you trying to keep my insomnia going?
