As opposed to the 4 billion dollar addition per day under Obama? Romney has such a different economic perspective than Bush to make the comparison that bush = Romney is ridiculous. I think 4 more years of Obama would be a larger detriment than Romney.

Your mind is corrupted with anti communist propaganda! Capitalism slashes workers rights.

@comradealex, down with Communism. It is a horribly evil philosophy that has, perhaps, been the cause of more death and suffering than any other since our nation's founding, and maybe in all of history. 20,000,000 murdered under Stalin alone. That's evil! Down with Communism!

10/12/12 1:54 pm

conservative! cuz that's what works!

10/12/12 1:53 pm

Judging from these two questions... people should be voting for the Libertarian!

10/11/12 10:13 am

Gary Johnson is on the ballot in Pennsylvania as of yesterday!
48 States + DC!

Dumb American hating Commies... I love exposing them. You can't be an American, and a Communist, silly. Talk about ignorance.

10/10/12 7:59 am

Tell that to republicans. They spend just as much as democrats. Ever heard of the military? Democrats are just willing to raise taxes to pay for their spending.

10/10/12 7:57 am

American and commie are not mutually exclusive. Do you ever say anything that isn't ignorant?

10/10/12 7:05 am

Calling people communist cause they don't believe in the same thing you do is ignorant...according to cowboy everyone but him is a communist

Liberals scare me.
Left alone they can not do much damages.
Given a bit of power and they will jack up a perfectly reasonable system.
Silly Liberals; Go Away.

Seems logical, but historically, lowering taxes during a recession actually promotes growth. Government intervention through OVERregulation is what cuts productivity and furthers a recession or bubble.

interesting thing about this and the previous question: dems are seemingly united on social issues while repubs are the same on economics.

Regulate the amount these corporations can charge and you will save the government TONS of money and they can begin to pay money back to the Federal Bank that created it out of thin air...

10/09/12 3:07 pm

I happen to be strongly for a resource based economy though.
The government currently spends millions of dollars unnecessarily. The $500 toilet seats and $2500 screws exist. I have submitted FWA paperwork to have the prices normalized.
Corporations knowingly over charge the military. A lot...

10/09/12 3:03 pm

Funny thing. I am a little of both and neither.

As long as we maintain a currency based economy I believe in hard times (government/economy) we should raise taxes and cut spending. When the government and economy are thriving then lower taxes and look for ways to assist the people.

Every American should be required to see "the speech" heard around the world. Written by Reagan himself. Just brilliant.

It is great that you guys still carry so much hate for Reagan though. It means it really hurt.

Americans want survives without taxes exude they are mathematical idiots...

10/09/12 1:48 pm

And Gorbachev's reforms had nothing to do with the end of the Cold War? We wasted tons of money on military expansion, and there's little proof it did any good. The USSR was ultimately brought down by harsh economic realities and internal civil strife. The "Reagan" of Republican fantasy is a myth!

@traehov Reagan speech for Barry Goldwater's campaign in 1964 entitled, "A Time for Choosing", made Reagan a household name.

ComradeAlex California
10/09/12 12:44 pm

Reagan was awful.. Oppressed the proletariat

10/09/12 11:45 am

10/09/12 11:32 am

Yes and Reagan said that was his biggest failure. But we went from teaching kids to hide under their desk because of a Nuclear attack to the fall of our greatest enemy. We made our military the strongest most feared that brought peace.. The greatest economic boom the country has ever seen.

10/09/12 11:30 am

Liberals never let facts get in the way of a good argument! LOL
Go ahead and invent your own facts, Trae....we're used to that from liberals.

Greece thinks liberal policies are great and look how we'll they're doing. Pay attention liberals!!
It's honorable to want to provide everything to everyone, but its not practical. We simply can't afford it.
Liberalism fails every time it's tried.
Roman Empire, Greece, France, Spain.......etc.

10/09/12 11:13 am

@cowboy: the national debt went up 188% under Reagan. Please don't compare him to Barry Goldwater. Thanks.
