Are you a business owner?
It's much harder than the general public realizes.
I built it myself!
This year. The bottom line anybody would be a better president in Obama. When was the last time he has met with congress? No he is out campaigning not running our country. I hope I was able to answer your question Kyloa
Kytoaltoky@ I believe that Romney became president I am hoping the first thing he will do is stop all these new taxes that begin Jan. 1st. He will repeal Obamacare and cut taxes on the folks who create the jobs. As a Realtor I have lost many home deals because of the new regulations on borrowing
No, but I dream about being one all the time.
I sew and knit for others, however, I would not call it a business.
@O13- As someone who has seen that math calculation play out, you are right. Amazing how many ppl dont get that...or maybe it's an issue of not wanting to get it
@kytoaloky: well within millionaires and billionaires means to pull us out of this mess? Really? There are ~ 250,000 ppl in the US w/incomes over a million. Even if you taxed ALL of them at 100% it wouldn't make a dent in the spending deficit, let alone debt.
I'm not usually an Obama complainer but when he said that comment about business owners it became clear how clueless he really is on economics
@hapbgme. Exactly how would Romney's plan help you? It is well within the power of millionaires and billionaires to collectively pull us out of this mess, but what have they done? Nothing. Despite record profits, they have held on to their precious wealth while millions remain jobless and homeless.
Market we are currently in. We family can't afford for our current president to be in office another term. For the first time in my life I was in a food line this morning.
We have struggled to make ends meet. With both of us in our 50's we don't want to start a new career. My husband raise a family having a small business for the first time in his life he finds himself in a place he never knew would happen to him, no work!! I don't even have to explain the housing
My husband and I both are self-employed. As a Realtor it is considered a small business and my husband is a sub-contractor, that also has people depending on him to keep them working. Our family depends upon a thriving country and economy. Since our current president has been in office
Yes, I mind my own.
Bchst- does what now? Your question didn't make sense to me.
@jamesmay: yeah ppl that "own" franchises don't actually own their businesses either. They are still workin for the man and don't really own shit. SMH... You know you're a moron, right?
You built it! Not government!
Another business for someone : invent hardwood floors that absorb the echoey sounds the way carpet does.
my dad is. its tough but damn. we conservatives know how to handle tough situations
Amway doesn't count (sorry, your not a real business owner) I love listening to these "amwayers" say "yea, I own a business" no you don't, you answer to a cooperate office, you don't own S%#+, lmao
I wish someone would open a chain of healthy, fast food! Have some vegetarian, vegan options as well as regular low fat, healthy, yummy sandwiches, etc.
Of the work as I can myself, and am able to keep going. It's good to find that "niche" if you can.
I have been an owner of a small, but successful custom drapery and upholstery company for 8 years now. We target the very high end of the market, and have been doing quite well, because people with "wealth" have been doing just fine during this recession. I keep overhead very low and do as much
For 26 years now but it is getting tougher by the day.
Yes. Anyone need printed apparel?
Does owning stock in the Green Bay Packers count?
Quite a lot for someone of our ages.
No but my husband owns his own clinic. I just work at the hospital as an oncologists
I love everyone's strong opinions of the pressure the govn't puts on biz owners, yet only 13% know what they are talking about.
Not yet, but I could easily be one by the end of the year...
@katniss. While that may be technically true, most big corporations used money and political influence to shut out competition. Businesses should stay small.
No. And yet president Obama is terrorizing me anyways. Just kidding... All these overly dramatic campaign ads crack me up.
Wait does a family of 7 count as a corporation?
Katniss, I totally agree!
Wow. This is also an awesome question.
Started 3 Months ago, tripled in value since with a workable goal of another triple by feb.
My dad was. It's really hard work. I have a lot of admiration for business owners- small or large businesses alike. I think we overlook that even the big "corporations" started with hard work and sweat and tears just like the little guys.
Big businesses are doing better than ever. Workers are more efficient than ever too. Great if you own a business, bad if you work for one.
My mom is
Andrew needs a hug...and a vasectomy.
@andrewv: maybe some people are too nice on here... I'm not one of them though. Take your ignorant, hillbilly, inbred, oxygen thieving, white supremacist, inability to formulate a coherent thought, moronic ass back to the 1800's or wherever the hell it is you escaped from.
I wish I was smart enough to own a business..I always wanted to own a restaurant or a catering business
andrewv- You have a lot of issues you need to work out. Please take them someplace else, not on this app.
A more appropriate question would be: of those who own a business, how many had assistance from the government in creating it?
I know I haven't received any help.
