Not a big fan of salads. I prefer a nice bowl of warm soup, especially during the cold season.

I think you're right. I guess I don't eat dinner out enough to have that as my initial reaction. Yeah, I noticed earlier where you said you don't like soups. I like them, just don't think ahead enough to make them as often as I'd like,

Quite a few people seem to be referring to restaurant choices when commenting. Is that because the decision of soup/salad is a common restaurant question so that's how you replied? Or because you don't make or serve either at home?

I frickin love soup. It takes up so many of my all-time favorite foods. Salad is good too, but not nearly as good as soup. I could eat it every day and live a very happy life. :)

I have never ordered a salad unless it automatically came with my meal. I don't get why anyone would want to eat a salad when there's another option! And ordering a salad as THE meal? Baffling!

Btw "salad" can be tuna or crab salad as well as a deli salad.
I'm okay with it as long as it contains few or no veggies.
Won't get me brownie points with the health nuts though.

Sounds like no one has ever made you a "good pot of soup". My hubby was not much of a soup person but now he eats it every day. I'm not talking Campbells but homemade! Yummy!

Baked French onion soup, my wife's homemade ham and bean soup, Caesar salad, julienne salad, 4 of my favorite things! Hard choice.
