Probably late night, only because I'm usually not sleeping yet.

I answered late but it depends....are you just getting in from partying? Then its late. Are you getting up to go fishing? Then its early.

Until six months ago it wasn't even that late at night. Now that I manage a coffeehouse instead of a brewpub, it's not even that early in the morning!

It depends if you have stayed up until then or are waking up then

If its night then you're still asleep... Something is wrong when you're asleep at 3:30 A.M.

OK. This is an interesting question. A mere 9 years ago it was a usual night after work, drinks and 4 A.M. Chinese food or White Castle. At 65, it's a dang early morning. It's amazing how a Boomers life changes.

When I have a long travel commute for business or have to get up earlier to exercise, it's usually 3:30am. 3:30am is always early morning for me. Now in high school or college, it was always late night.

Depends on the circumstance. If you're working late or out partying it's late night. If you're up early for travel, hunting, or fishing early morning. Generally though I think of it as night time. I usually change over to early morning at 5 am in my mind

I worked rotating shifts which included an 11pm to 7am midnight shift at the end of my week. It might have been the middle of my day, but it always felt like the middle of the night to me. I really liked that being up late, just about everything seems funny between 3 and 5am.

I live in Buffalo... it goes both ways... the bars close at 4am... but I start work at 4am... so its a late night on the weekends and early morning during the week...

That sounds like something I might say - at 3:30am if I was awake and didn't want to be.

Who in their right mind wakes up that early?! Depends on the job I suppose.

It's technically morning, so I see it that way.

I've seen more 0330s near the end of a long fun-filled night than at the beginning of what will surely be a long, miserable, sleepy, cranky day. If it's still dark, it's still last night; if it's just starting to get light, it's freakishly early in the morning.

12 AM is the beginning of the day. Therefore 3:30 AM would be in the early morning.

Before I started working in healthcare, it was late night. Now, it's definitely early morning. In fact, it's only 45 min before my coffee pot turns on and starts brewing my morning addiction.

In my mind, the night and day is not broken up by time but by when I sleep and wake up. The night ends when I go to sleep. When I wake. It's morning.
