I don't like salad, and I like soup. But all that's coming to mind is the 'Soup Joond' picture, LOL.

When I chose salad I was thinking of potato salad. No leafy greens for me. Now that I've learned that chili is not a soup, it's legit to have it on my salad. So thick potato salad smothered in thick chili with lots of cheese. Yummmm.

Lettuce? Like seriously? I might as well just drink a bottle of water. At least soup is usually dynamic in flavor.

salad if it has olives, soup if it has lima beans, I really love a well cooked lima bean.

@meow666: Well soups aren't that much healthier/not healthier.

I just HAD to change it to Salad. But without that terrible dressing, just give me vinegar and oil with cranberries and it's a match made in heaven.

Victor Cruz eats Campbell's Chunky Soup. I'll just leave that here.

60% salads my ass, that explains why Americans are so healthy and fit.

In a lot of cases soup is lower in calories than salad because it doesn't have all the fat that is in salad dressing. Cheese soup is one exception to that. I alway feel fuller after eating soup than after eating salad.

Why cant i choose both?!?!

Just made a huge pot of broccoli cheese soup last night (with triple the broccoli!). Served with just a long loaf of artesian French bread. So easy, and sooo good! The kids loved it so much, they asked me to pack it in their school lunches today.

Being that I eat to live rather than live to eat.. salad. If I need fluids I can order a glass of water with my salad.

I like both. If I'm at at a restaurant I'll take the salad. Seafood restaurant NE clam chowder.

Zod; chili is not a soup but love it too.

Soup with vegetables. Salad is for little girls.

If thick chili counts as soup, then OK, soup - but only if it's thick enough to eat with Scoops, and only if it has a lot of melted cheese and chopped onions on top.

I live in the South, and except for maybe one month of the year, willingly ingesting hot liquid sounds nauseating. Give me lettuce!

A tip, don't cook your noodles in the soup. Store separate and add when you heat the soup and they won't get mushy...

When I make soup, I am often hard pressed to leave enough broth. It tends to be so full of meat, veggies, noodles or barley, it turns out too thick! But my family loves it so...

That ? is hard to answer, I like some kids of salad, and soup. but I also have some of both I can't stand!

Normally salad. The only soup I really ever eat is Broccoli Cheddar (it's best from Panera Bread) or New England clam chowder.
