From the 1983 election to that of 2010, the Liberal-SDP Alliance/Liberal Democrats won between 16.8% & 25.4% of the vote, but only returned between 20 and 62 MP's, never making up more than 9.6% of MP's. This is a sign FPTP isn't representative.
