and his economic and foreign policy stances...wow. so great. it's amazing he'll never be elected to anything more than a representative from shitsville TX.

howz that weed treating you now, LJ? I'd say pack another big ole bong rip and talk about how great a washed-up senile kook somehow is going to take us back into the 18th century...because that will totally work in the 21st century.

Dr Paul is not an idiot. He values our Constitution. That's more than we can say about the other candidates.

I laugh so hard at people who support Ron Paul.

He's an idiot that will never be President.

01/20/12 7:57 pm

mitt is very beatable

01/20/12 9:35 am

Lets see Dr Paul cam in 2nd in NH 3 in Iowa with a ton of votes. Right behind Mitt And Dick. Seems to me Dr Paul is top tier. Bet he does well in SC. He also had a great debate last night. Ron Paul or bust.

01/20/12 8:06 am

greater miracles have happened

@RJ1969 shut up, don't crush our spirits.

Ron Paul will not get the nomination. sorry, ain't gonna happen.

01/19/12 7:20 pm

Ron Paul all the way!!!

01/19/12 4:06 pm

Ron Paul revolution, give us back our Constitution.

01/19/12 3:52 pm

Obama and Bush were both terrible presidents. We need a revolution from the same old big spending, endless wars and lack of respect for our Constitution. Ron Paul 2012

@LJ: no. I think Obama is performing better than Bush when all is considered, so i don't feel the same

ronpaul
01/19/12 10:50 am

Caleb.. Ron Paul would want nothing to do with newt Gingrich. He is corrupt..Ron isnt

01/19/12 8:16 am

@NYevo Do you still feel the same way?

NYevo NY
01/19/12 4:31 am

@LJ: mmi had the same exact sentiments in 04

I love ron Paul. but mitt is okay. best second choice.

HTML, no...you're right. a big part of the problem. but, congress operated differently back then, didn't it? that's the issue.

01/18/12 8:54 pm

We need serious change in both the White House and Congress. America needs to wake up and see our government for what it really is. Power hungry overspenders that make unconstitutional laws. Its about time our generation has its revolution before its to late.

01/18/12 8:19 pm

Newt Gingrich/Ron Paul would be a amazing ticket. But unfortunately it won't happen..but this ticket would destroy Obama.

The base of a party makes up a good proportion of the primary vote, unlike a general election. That being the case, how is someone as moderate as Romney coming out on top in the Republican primary when all the energy in the Republican party is on the far right these days

ronpaul
01/18/12 5:37 pm

That's right America loves presidents that increases our debt..presidents that invade our liberties and o yes..presidents that love war and spend money on war we don't have!! I'm sorry I forgot those were good things

ronpaul
01/18/12 5:08 pm

Coolyguy why not Ron Paul ??

ronpaul
01/18/12 5:04 pm

Combat why vote for him? Ron Paul!

ronpaul
01/18/12 5:04 pm

Nyevo the primary does have someone better.. Ron Paul and if ignorant Americans woke up and actually understood what he stands for we would be better off

NYevo NY
01/18/12 10:47 am

@combatmini: if Romney is no better than what we have now. And Socialism is what we have now. Then why is the Republican party unable to produce anyone better than a Socialist through its Primary? I thought the Tea Folks were gonna have a a big effect in this primary. Was I wrong?

01/18/12 10:33 am

I will vote for him...but he is no better than what we have now! can't stomach four more years of socialism!

barbearnj Dreaming of Banff
01/18/12 6:48 am

No but I will vote for him in November! Anyone but that socialist Oblahblah!!!

@1969 congress gets no blame for 07&08 though that's all Bush's fault right.

01/18/12 6:06 am

Mitt Romney is refusing to release his tax returns in my opinion, he's shady. It's a traditional thing, what do you have to hide? Why has it become so rare to find a honest politician?

RJ1969 SoCal

this is what we get when we keep electing rich lawyers as "our representatives".

RJ1969 SoCal
01/17/12 6:43 pm

as mentioned below....congress is the problem, not the president. Either of these guys (Mitt or Obama) would be fine, but congress is screwed up!

The real question for me, underlying all of the bickering & name calling: Is America really near death, as the Repubs tell us, & in need of a businessman with all the supposed answers? Or another 4 years from Obama, who told us about how glorious things would be with him in charge?

01/17/12 1:12 pm

@NYevo--that was to you. Danged autocorrect gremlins struck again... ;)

01/17/12 1:11 pm

@, yep, and I think that is exactly the goal of both major parties, corporate media, and our corporatocracy we live under. :(

01/17/12 11:14 am

sick of hearing about Romney already....

NYevo NY
01/17/12 6:12 am

There was a time when i hated Bush and company with such passion, that it nearly blinded me to reality. I see some are the same way about Obama now. So, what are the chances that we've had the worst two Presidents in history, back to back? My brain is telling 0% and we are just prone to manipulation

Whatever happens...congress needs a reset =\

01/17/12 4:49 am

Just read through comments here-WOW, it's AMAZING to me to see how many people have been brainwashed. Fast&Furious began under Obama??!! The ACA is "socialized medicine"?? Seriously??!! Gotta give it to Aisles, Murdock, etc. They've achieved the dream they told Nixon about in the 70's...

RJ1969 SoCal

if we just go back to the pre-1900 model everything will work out just fine with the demands of the 21st century.

RJ1969 SoCal
01/16/12 11:47 pm

I think we need to get rid of regulations...you know, those things that grant us this standard of living without everyone doing whatever they want, screw you and the consequences. that would be a great idea.

@RJ China!!! We can always reinstate virtual slavery to rebuild our manufacturing workforce. Oh and build another real estate bubble!!! Or Europe! We can have less job creation and more of a debt problem!! Or India!! Mass poverty and rampant corruption!!

US is lagging by world standards!! Ya…

RJ1969 SoCal
01/16/12 10:40 pm

repressing job creation? sorry, but I don't buy it. is there a country on this planet that you would refer to as having less gov involvement and better job development?

roybiker12
01/16/12 10:18 pm

Historically individuals have come together to form governments for common defense & collectively do things jointly rather than individually. We have gone way too far in this country. Europe has gone even farther. Government is now repressing job creation, not helping it.

RJ1969 SoCal
01/16/12 10:01 pm

income from public sector jobs is also taxed, so it's not just private sector. Private sector jobs need public sector support to operate. Both need each other to succeed. it's not one over the other; they are not mutually exclusive.
