Read the verse before. The context is him divorcing her, her re-marrying, then getting divorced again or widowed, and the first husband wanting to re-marry her. I think Matthew 5:31-32 (for one) lends an update to the context.

Deuteronomy 24:4 (NASB)
then her former husband who sent her away is not allowed to take her again to be his wife, since she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the LORD, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the LORD your God gives you as an inheritance.

It's about time we start caring about each other. We have enough broken families in this country as it is.
If marriage is not for life, then why get married?

I am surprised at how many of you know Tiger so well as to evaluate his personal motivations and present state of mind, or that of his beautiful ex...I tend to let people's business be theirs, though do believe, and always hope that true love and devotion can overcome

Some people have said for to be "free." Tiger and her are not free they have children and owe their lives to them.

Everyone makes mistakes. Most of us don't have to deal with thousands of the opposite sex throwing themselves at us but I can imagine that it would be hard to say NO until you realize what is really important to you. I think he knows that now. Everyone deserves a second chance.

I would say no, also for the sake of the child. IMO it would show the child they have a responsibility to be stuck with someone no matter how sleazy the person is, or how they treat you.

Divorce in our society is everybody's business. If people don't intend to stay married for life, then they shouldn't
get married. So many broken families is why we have so much crime. poverty, and a generation full of people
who live with the legacy of divorce. There may be exceptions when people si

It is no one's business but their own. Our opinions could not be more irrelevant. In an age when we place so much value on our own privacy we show very little respect for the privacy of others.

Forgiveness is very hard but it depends on every person and how much they mean to you. I believe in second chances and it might be hard to trust again but nothing is impossible. If they can work it out good for them.

I'm generally all for forgiveness, but I don't believe he's truly sorry or ready to be faithful. I don't care what anyone says, a man is responsible for his own actions. Temptation affects us all, but on many occasions he had the option to say no. Love is NOT about lust and self-gratification.

Although forgiveness can be very hard, it is extremely powerful. Of course, a bit of integrity on his part is quite vital as well.

He didn't cheat on her once; he cheated badly. Numerous women. I shudder to think what he exposed his unknowing wife to. I would never take him back. I could never trust him again. Sorry, but he has to pay the price for his poor choices.

I put myself in tigers shoes and then put an honest answer. Depending on the solidarity of their relationship and their willingness to make it work then y not? But it would be under very specific stipulations....

According to a news story I looked up, he did ask her. The original source is the National Enquirer, which I'd almost automatically discount, but the article I read (in the Charlotte Observer) said Nat.Enq. broke the original Tiger cheating story. So who knows.

Who, me? I went over there and quickly began to drown in the mire. It's late and I'm already grumpy. I scrolled fast-forward style the rest of the way down but didn't see any ???? or ???? pop out at me, so I must be looking for text. Maybe I'll put on my wading boots in the morning and try again.
