I am 40 and my daughter is 17. I look 30, she looks 25. For years, we have gone on daddy/daughter dates once a month. Now people think we are a couple. So, I had t-shirts made so people know she is my daughter. Does anyone else have this issue?

Blush. My shirt reads. She is not my daughter.

My oldest son gets mistaken for my boyfriend all the time. I love it, he hates it...haha

Not that I was ever aware of, but my dad is also 35 years older than me. However, one time he took my grandma to the doctor and someone thought they were husband and wife.

I should also mention that they both look great for their age.

I more often get asked if I'm my dad's sister.

No but I think it's really sweet and great parenting that you take her out and show her attention like that. Kudos brother

My mom and u are 20 years apart. When I was in my early 20s and we went somewhere (she was single at the time) people thought we were a couple. People still have a hard time believing I'm her kid since she does not look her age

When I was about 17. Going to town with my mom people would think we were a couple. If I went with my sisters I would get complements on my beautiful children.

When my dad was alive, several times - which was pretty dumb because I look just like him.

My daughter is half Asian, looks more like her mother. So it's understandable when she isn't recognized as being my daughter.

I put a profile picture up of her and I about 2 months ago on a dinner date.

I have the same problem. I'm 44, look in my mid 30's. My daughter is 24 and looks older. And I have grandchildren through her. So we get weird looks a lot.

Yes even when I retired, now I look like the aftermath of Dorian Grey.

I'm 20 and my dad is 40, and we've experienced very similar things.

People often think my adult sons are my brothers. That's not nearly as creepy as what people think of you!

No, but there was a time period where my mother and grandmother looked like sisters and then another time period years later where my mother and I looked like sisters.

Where I come from, being inbred isn't something to be proud of, but we aren't judging you Rota. We are all happy that your dad asked for his sisters hand in marriage, else we wouldn't have all of your amazing polls to read.

Not with my own children, since they're too young. My mom looks like she's still in her 50's, so we're sometimes asked if we're sisters. I hope I age that well!

We wear shirts with arrows pointing at the other, mine says "best daughter in the word" hers says "best dad in the world".

That's great. I don't have this issue. My oldest girl is almost 4. I'm told I look young, though, so it may happen one day.

I always thought all adults were 32 but now that I'm approaching that I'm gonna have to change it... 45 is sounding good 😁

Well if I makes you feel any better, I am 40 and love this time in my life. You'll see as you mature into your 30's, the number becomes only just that...a number. Just think "fine wine". My life and health are a product of what I make it:)
