Saudi Arabia's King ordered a man in his late teens to lose weight once he threatened to beat America's world record of 1,400 lbs. In 2014 the man lost 700 lbs. Should the US require treatment of people over 1000 lbs for their health?

The presidents like to mandate crap so why not. set up federal lipo clinics and abortion service all in one.

I think most people with such a severe problem would welcome help, if they could get it. Treatment for obesity is usually not covered by health insurance. Perhaps it should be covered, at least in extreme cases.

Good question, especially since the public often ends up paying for the medical care.

Not require but certainly incentivize and help receive.

No but they surely need help. At that weight I'm not sure they are in their right mind.

I don't think it should be required unless they're on a health insurance program.
