Do you think you have ever unknowingly met a serial killer?
1 in 200 is clinically a psychopath. At least according to a BBC documentary I watched on YouTube.
That doesnt mean they kill, killed, or want to kill people.
Went to church with BTK
Do soldiers / future ones count.
What the hell is that supposed to mean!?
It means do soldiers / future serial killers count...
I was a neighbor of Timothy Blackwell; he used to save my parking spot when I was on my way home from work, by "sweeping the driveway" until I drove into the spot of our little place across the lake from Seattle.
He was, (dare I say it?) "a very shy and quiet person!"
Evidently, he had a rather serious issue with "anger management" and never seemed to have a girlfriend.
A couple years after moving out of the place where he was my neighbor…
… Mr. Blackwell got involved in "Philippino mail-brides," went to the Philippines, got married and brought his new wife home for some "marital hanky-panky.
Turns out that she was in on a scam to bring over other family and friends to the U.S.…
…and promptly got pregnant from her Philippino boyfriend after Tim has allegedly "beat the crap out of her."
She sued for divorce and after the judge decided in favor of the wife, Blackwell promptly shot his ex-wife's boyfriend and her, killing …
…them both, PLUS her unborn baby, making Tim Blackwell a full-blown "spree-type serial killer"
In addition, it was because of this case that King County Courthouse and then the rest of the country, started using metal detectors in their courts!
I have met hundreds of truck drivers during my years at a rock quarry. I'm sure some of those creepers were murderers!!!
I also saw an episode of Americas Most Wanted say that someone wanted for multiple murders was caught on camera at our local Walmart. It was early December in a small town. There is a good possibility I was Christmas shopping at the same time!!
Probably not, but that's pretty crazy to think about!
And I think I know his name.
I work in a prison so yes I have met several.
went to high school with a man who was convicted if two murders which showed the traits if a serial killer. victims looked similar were killed in the same manner.
Maybe a future one
He lives in my head
I met George W. Bush.
I have met enough people with that mad, empty look that I was sure they were, or were becoming, a killer.
I met two guys that were eventually arrested and convicted of serial killings. It was a brief encounter. At the time of course I had no idea. It was after their arrest that a friend pointed out having met them.
😅 hope not.
I'm sure I have, but I'm a pretty paranoid and cynical person. I'm not trusting enough of people. There are a lot of crazies where I live.
I'm certain of it.
How did that go?
He went to Law school with my mom.
Wow. Like did they ever hang out and stuff?
I often wonder when on the highway how many cars have bodies in the trunks. Ya never know.
While we never formally met I attended the Univ. of Washington the same time as Ted Bundy and I've always thought he looks like someone I have seen around campus.
The states that are blue in the results chart...I'm not inclined to visit.
No, but I was once harassed by this guy with schizophrenia at the bookstore and then saw him on the news the next week after he was arrested for killing his mom.
I indirectly survived one. My dads family was on Charles Manson's hit list.
My Grandfather was fairly high up in the California Department of Forestry.
I doubt I have ever meet a serial killer
I think odds are (depending on your age) you've probably seen a current or future one
Ted bought Bundy followed me on the campus in Ellensburg does that count
Coughing and speaking this not make for our current typing
Are you saying Ted Bundy followed you?
Yes it was the same day he got Susan Rancourt off our campus.
My aunts house was one street over from him when he was caught
Define met. Like introductions or I saw him/her in a walmart?
I live in Oregon, with the highest number of serial killers per capita, so I suppose it's likely I've at least seen a serial killer. A former friend recently killed her baby and tried to kill her teenager.
Whoa! What kind of people do you hang out with?
Yeah, crazy, eh?
I have met OJ...does that count?
OJ isn't a serial killer.
I met a woman the night before she killed her husband and I was friendly with a guy I knew as a student from the Mid East, who I later learned was involved in the planning of 9/11. With the numbed of people I've met, I'm sure I have.
Wow...sketchy friends Miss Ross-Sellwood ;)
When the FBI contacted me about the guy, we went into his home and there was only a mattress, fax machine and papers and literature everywhere! You couldn't see the floors! It was shocking.
He was so nice to me. Lesson learned.
And miss Ross-Sellwood , lol!!
Wow! You must have known him pretty well for them to have you go to his house.
Right after 9/11, if you recall, all flights were locked down for a few days. Shortly after the lock down was lifted, I heard from him that he was waking an immediate flight home as his parents were concerned about the political ramifications...
... and he was gone. I believed him. I thought he was a nice guy. I did have access to his residence but only through business purposes. Nothing personal.
You have access to his home through business, interesting line of business 😝
Until now I would have wanted to meet EarlyBird but seeing what friends she has I'm not sure anymore.
They're all nice to our faces. It's literally their duty to lie to us, befriend us, and betray us to further their religion and people think I'm an asshole for saying you can't be friends w/Muslims. But without knowing which few you can trust...
I hope you got a stern lecture from your parents for associating with known terrorists. If you're looking for a "bad boy" just stick to the leather jacketed motorcycle type.
Krystina, that would make for an interesting poll.
Not for me, Milk. I prefer less controversial stuff & have been sufficiently bashed for my feelings about Muslims & Islam already. I'll give my opinion, but I don't get into it with people anymore. Feel free to post something if you want to though.😊
"Krystina says muslims make bad friends because you never know when they're going to kill you. Agree/Disagree"
Ok, maybe I'll soften it up just a little bit :)
Yeah, thanks Milk. Way to earn me some friends. LoL.
Everybody, don't forget to buy your copy of "How to Win Friends and Influence People II," by Mr. Milkdud 😃
EarlyBird did say she liked bad boys.
Anth gets a follow for that one! 😃
Kristina- the actual title is "How to Make Friends and Influence Infidels"
Its a slight departure from the original.
Oh, of course. How terribly insensitive of me not checking on the exact title first. Thank you for clearing that up, Milk.
Thanks a lot, Early.
Do you count actors. I've met ghostface from scream. But for real maybe it's hard to tell.
I've met a lot of convicted felons. I'm sure I have.
I have entertained the idea, more than once, that some one I interacted with had the potential.
I work in a prison. I've met John Lennon's killer and many others. There are more serial rapists than serial killers.
Aka my family.
One of my managers at Applebee's was arrested for killing some ladies and putting their bodies in trunks.
Small tippers I bet.
I wouldn't be surprised D:
I went to HS with a triple murderer.
This typo is killin' me.
I doubt it, there don't seem to be all that many out there.
There are estimated to only be 30-50 currently active serial killers in the US, and only 2600 or so in all of our history. There have been almost five times that many US senators and representatives in history, and I haven't met any of them either.
Let me guess you looked it up
I did. My gut feeling, based on hardly ever hearing about them in the news (unlike every day regular murderers), was that there couldn't be all that many serial killers. The stats I found seem to support that. 1 out of every 7,000,000 isn't many.
The boy I walked to school with in the 70's (suburban Detroit) was kidnapped and killed by the "Oakland County Child Killer" (unique, I know)...whom they never confirmed, but think might have been Gacy. Scary stuff, but I didn't "meet" him.
In college, I interacted with a creepy guy in my dorm parking lot, and reported him to campus police. He turned out to be on the run after killing his wife and stuffing her in an oil drum in another state; they caught him the next day.
I'm sure I've met future serial killers
Are we recycling the questions now?
I work in a place where I talk to hundreds of people every day. I'm sure at least one of them is a serial killer.
I met a guy known as the colonial parkway killer once. The real one was never brought to justice, and he lives out his pathetic life in peace.
We were in Spokane while that prostitute killer was there, so maybe. When the Gainesville killer was caught, he had a picture of my sister's roommate on him, so that was creepy.
Tony... Proofread!!. ☺☺
meet, meat, mete, met
serial, cereal snap, crackle, POP!
Not in real life, but maybe I met one on SOH??
Of course, I have taught over 4000 students so far. I guess anything is possible.
