Your favorite shirt gets a significant tear that is readily visible. Do you take it to a seamstress for repair, or throw it out and get a new favorite shirt?
My god, I wouldn't spent money on a seamstress. I can sew!
I think I can sew a shirt back up and I would
Throw it out? Don't be silly. It will just become my favorite at-home shirt. 😁
If it's my favorite, it gets repaired. The others, get tossed or worn around the house.
Favorite shirt is a white undershirt. Got plenty.
I have a shirt that while dancing with this bird in a club she spins around and rips it open, popping all the buttons off. Goes without saying that in the moment it was hot but later I thought "damn, now I need all new buttons on this shit."
Fix it myself. I know a thing or two about sewing. I hem my pants and make my own purses. I can handle a rip.
It becomes the painting shirt.
I'll take it in to get fixed (I lack in those types of skillls). I do it plenty, I just had a hole patched in a scarf.
I don't have any clothes worth fixing. Just another handful of spare buttons and another rag for the rag bucket.
MOM!!! (She made my wedding dress, so of course I have her fix my favorite shirt!)
Tear in a seam? Do it myself. Otherwise it would be pointless. Even a professional can't make a rip look good.
Also, why not a seamster? Men can sew too.
Sorry, you know I had to say it.
KERM - isn't that a union trucker?
What is this seamstress thing? I can fix it myself.
I am the seamstress
Take it my Mom and hope she'll be able to fix it.
Fix it myself, seamstress cost to much!
