If circumstances forced you to utilize public transportation tomorrow morning, would you be able to without calling anyone, printing anything out or downloading additional apps?
Just a normal days commute.
I live within walking distance of two horse farms. Does that count?
I know my way around pretty well. I'd just have to be transported to the train station somehow first.
The bus stop is not to far from me but I would not know in which direction I have to travel or what to do next to get to my work 17 miles away. Buses don't go on freeways.
The only public transportation out here is walking
Does it count if I already have the app on my phone?
I know it..
I do it everyday. That's just life in NYC.
I can get on a bus. But I'd have to look at a route map or ask the driver in order to get where I need.
Not without first being transported to somewhere that actually has public transportation, because there is nothing even remotely like that anywhere around here.
What public transportation is that?
As below, there's no public transportation where I live either. I'd have to walk & I could do that without thinking too hard.
Since there is no public transportation where I live, I'd have to do this in a strange city. So, I would need help.
LOL. A very rare poll showing that Libertarians actually need assistance with something!! 😜😝😚 MUAH hah hah ha!!! I have found your weak spot!!! 😈😾💥😂😭😂
The closest thing to public transportation I've ever been on was the school bus. It wasn't available where I lived as a kid. As an adult, it either wasn't available, wasn't convenient, or was too expensive.
I live in the suburbs so I would have to drive to the light rail to get downtown.
Yes and no. I can get to the train station by bike but it wouldn't take me anywhere that I might need to go. I would instead just ride my bike to get to the places I needed to go.
I live in the suburbs.....we don't have much public transportation. Yay!
None of that exists here, either you have transportation or you walk.. That easy!
Id be in big, huge trouble. I know nothing about it.
I wouldn't have a clue where the nearest bus stop is.
I know where the bus stop is.
No sweat. There's a bus line that runs through my apt community and that goes to the Metro...which can get me just about anywhere.
Easily. There's a bus route on the street at the edge of my apartment complex. Even if I didn't already have current printed schedules or the app for the system, I could walk over to the bus stop & point my iPhone at the QR code on the route sign &
go directly to the system's web site to look at schedules. Or I could text the number on the sign to the system & receive a text telling me when the next bus would arrive, incorporating current delays & detours. If using my phone weren't allowed in
this game, I could just wait there for the next bus, but there's only one per hour.
I use this system enough that I know it pretty well. Oh, and I wouldn't have to look for change to pay a fare, because I have an annual pass.
Probably not without at least looking online at bus routes. And them its be a pretty good walk as our local busses don't go near where I work. And then my boss would be trying to figure out why I didn't bring the company owned truck that I
Drive all day for work wasn't there.
Your lived in Lubbock, City Bus doesn't serve the east side or outside the loop very well.
I know which routes I need to take. Can I at least look at an online bus schedule first?
