In a small town within my city (the borders are weird) the police have to issue a certain number of tickets per month. Good or bad policy?
I never had quota's, I could write as many tickets as I wanted!
Ticket quotas are everywhere these days and are rife with finding ANY errors in drivers rather than finding true OFFENDERS of crimes. Tickets only bring in cash, but it could easily blow up in their faces when a driver disputes the charge.
Very bad. How did this crap get started, anyway. Well, money, of course, but that's really no excuse.
Because it was said that cops just sit at doughnut shops, and a high ranking officer made the the. Comment officers can't be doing that, they have quota's... And people won't let it go
That's just a bad idea, nothing good about it.
I agree.
Very bad. Police shouldn't be revenue generators but rather keepers of peace. But Murica.
Terrible policy.
The two arguments are: Bad: People get pulled over for ridiculous things. Good: It funds the police department
Yes but I believe the bad out weighs the good.
Me too, I hate it.
