If fried onions are a vegetable, then chocolate is my favorite fruit!

Both. The batter is a starch. It's usually wheat right?

Inspired by the leftover onion rings we brought home from Applebee's yesterday. This also inspired my other poll, of course.

Definitely vegetable, and they needn't be breaded or starchy. There is a LifeHack that uses a single large onion ring as an egg form, for pan frying an egg nice and round that will fit a muffin. Eat the onion ring too, if you want.

About my favorite veggie, comes with a liquid tomato reduction (tomato is a fruit btw) aka ketchup :)

Both, plus a serving of fat. There are lots of more healthful ways of eating all three categories of food, but they sure taste good.

The onion is, but onion rings are mostly breading and grease.

They contain a veg. But I'd be hard pressed to classify them as part of a beneficial food group.

Onions are a veggie. But I suspect there's more breading than veggie in an onion ring.
