Would you rather be 25% smarter than you currently are, or have 50% better self-discipline?
These are percentages, so really very few people would get much out the intelligence gain - only the smartest and those who need just the slight increase. It'd be far wiser to take the discipline.
Now really! How could I be 25% smarter?
I'm already greatly self disciplined but I can never have enough intelligence
With self discipline, intelligence can come.
Discipline. I need better willpower, control my temper, motivate myself to do things
I know I'm smart... I just don't apply it
Same here, but I'm smart enough to know that a lot more intelligence could only help. With 25% more intelligence I could instantly tell you within 5 points how smart I'd be rather than the 10 points we're at now, like from 130ish to 160ish.
I feel pretty smart already, if I had discipline I would probably be much richer...so I am definitely down for some more willpower and consistency using it!
My self discipline is pretty decent.
I believe that we are all smart enough (few exceptions)... Maybe you don't know much... That's different... But you have the ability to know it or do it, if you try hard enough... And that my friends, that's discipline!
With discipline I could improve more than just intelligence
Self-discipline and motivation is everything.
Better self discipline, thats where I seem to be lacking right now lol
I am disciplined enough. Give me Smarts and I'll figure out the rest.
Wow the discipline for sure.
Would smart stop the eating, drinking and smoking. I see a lot of fat smart people.
Definitely smarter. I can easily self discipline myself, always have.
You're lucky. I Would OOC for years.
I'm actually happy the way I am thanks though.
Either without the other is pretty much useless.
Even 25% better self discipline would take me to new heights.
You'd probably bang a ton of guys
Each is likely to lead to an increase in the other...
Could I take "neither" for 100, Alex?
Discipline could lead to greater intelligence, I don't think intelligence would lead to discipline.
Discipline would lead to greater wisdom than intelligence.
Smarter! I'd love to lose some self control actually.
Discipline will lead to greater intelligence
Dear God, if I could have 50% more self-discipline, I could take over the world.
I don't need more intelligence, so I'll take the self-discipline.
25% smarter and id be going to georgetown for sure
If you have more self-discipline you can do what you need to become smarter.
Also it'd be great if you were interested in joining the military
With self discipline maybe I can get myself to focus more and get intelligence that way
I would like to be smart.ps...that is why my name is SophoDOMO 🙎😯😓
I procrastinate and get side-tracked too much.
I blame SOH...! 😜
I make lots of mistakes, like lots, I'd love to be 25% smarter.
Intelligence, easily, I can make myself do whatever as long as there's a good enough reason
Oh, *please,* self discipline! I'm rating so very badly at that currently. While I think my brain cells are winking off on a daily basis, I believe the self discipline would make me a much happier person overall.
I have plenty of self-discipline, but it would sure be handy to be a little smarter.
I already have really good discipline. I would rather be smarter.
I'd take the increase in intelligence
"With self-discipline most anything is possible." -- President Theodore Roosevelt
Well, I want more discipline, but 50% of 0 is 0, so if have to go with the smarts.
You were disciplined enough to get up today & post on this board.
with more discipline I would have applied myself more at school and then I would have been smarter
I'm already the smartest person ever, so throw in a little more discipline and I'll take over the world!!
Most of us are smart enough to get better paying jobs or save more. But most of us also can't be bothered. Be bothered.
And also, possibly, hot.
I'm already self disciplined enough. Intellect is far more desirable for me.
I can already get away with my tenuous self-discipline. Add 25% to my intelligence and there is zero problem.
I'm already pretty smart, might as well be smarter.
What would I do with that kind of thinking power?
What is the 176 a measure of?
Your IQ isn't 176.
I think it's a measure of arrogance on a scale of 1 to 100.
I have no idea what my IQ is because all that IQ tests reveal is how good you are at taking IQ tests and I don't need to validate my intelligence with one. You should have known that just a number without an identifier would cause confusion, Mr. 176.
A number w/o an identifier causing confusion? I mean it would be an obvious conclusion to think that you're talking about IQ, because after all it was in the same comment as, "What would I do with that kind of thinking power?".
One shouldn't assume that people know what you mean if you don't make it clear. I assumed he meant IQ but wanted to clarify, just in case, because I shouldn't assume what he meant if he didn't make it totally clear.
But an assumption needs no clarity to be considered one! Because its an assumption, not an assertion!
176 iq is 1/5,000,000. Don't get me wrong douchbag I am a smart guy, but there are only 70 people in our entire country with that IQ, and you aren't one of them.
Unless you have a very low IQ, the latter will help you much more in a pursuit to be successful.
If My iq were any higher, they would have to log scale the charts if they wanted to plot me.
