In your current physical shape, do you think you could complete a sprint triathlon without stopping, walking, or otherwise taking a break? A sprint triathlon includes a 1/2 mile swim, a 20K bike, and a 5K run consecutively.
Don't think you can't either mate.....
........😳 I'd say no lol
I would not even want to.
I could do the bike but as for the other two...no way.
Swim and bike, no problem. Running would be harder since I never run now.
I can't swim. 😔
I only dog paddle...
I can't swim either
If I could back stroke the entire swim Id be good 😊
How do you like running outdoors now that it isn't negative degrees?! 😉
Haha it is wonderful! I can finally focus on my pace without worrying about slipping on ice! I also bought some proper running shoes, which have been amazing.
Nice! New running shoes are among one of my favorite things 😊 what kind did you get?
You training for anything specific or just loving the run?
I decided on the Mizuno Waverider 17, and I haven't signed up for anything yet but I'm considering signing up for a 25K next month.
Ooh! Nice! The riverbank?
Yes, actually! It would be right at the end if the semester, and one of my running partners says it wouldn't be too late for me to jump onto the training schedule, even though I have not run anywhere close to 25K before.
It's a nice flat course and there is plenty of community support and lots of aid stations. Will your running partner stay w you? It's always easier to run with someone 😊
I think she will, there are 3 of us planning to race as a group, and we will definitely train together even if we don't stay together for the whole race.
If not I'm sure you could talk fire into running with you! I don't know how fast you run though
I'm in good shape for my age, 65.. But no.
No problem. I'm marathon training right now, and I'm a strong swimmer. I'd need a road bike, though.
The swim yes, the bike probably, if there aren't many steep uphills, but not the run. On principle, even if I happened to just barely be able. Policy clearly states there should be no running unless being shot at or a nearby explosion is imminent.
Not a chance. I could do the swim (but come in last) and probably the biking, but I don't think I could run a block.
I'm with you, Susan. I could make the swim pretty easily and I could walk the 5K, but I haven't been on a bike in years.
It'd be difficult but I think I could
