Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ar) has given a chilling status of Iran, warning that it must be stopped because "They already control Tehran!" Does this status of Iran frighten you?

To bad you can't figure out his statement within context. But what can be expected is.

I am much more worried about Russia. They stand poised to take over Moscow.

To everyone decrying the stupidity of Mr. Cotton, remember, Barack Obama once said he'd been to 57 states. People mistakenly say things all the time. This is a bigger mistake than normal, but nothing joe Biden doesn't say every day

Trying to justify poor behavior with other poor behavior isn't a strong argument

Misspeaking is not "poor behavior." Poor behavior is straight up lying, like "you can keep your own doctor." He wasn't lying when he said Iran controlled Tehran, he confused iraN and iraQ, and improvised from there

Equally scary: FedGov currently run by idealistic arrogant "intellectuals" w/no common sense/ability to interact w/world based on how things *are* rather than how they think they *should* be, like believing Iran is capable of being an honest broker.

No middle-eastern country has traditionally been an 'honest' broker. That's binary thinking..not very useful. Best case scenario is to get troublesome states to agree to a reasonable position. Also, we need *more* intellectuals making these decisions

But you'll get no argument from me that the federal government is usually poorly run... and will probably screw all of this up anyway

In all fairness, no country's ever are fully honest brokers. Fully playing their honest hand can be disastrous when a false hand can be better for their position. Not that I think these negotiations are the best idea, but the idea that ANYONE always

Goes in as a fully honest broker just doesn't happen.

That being said, anti intellectualism isn't exactly a great thing either. Not on par with a nuclear Iran, but not exactly a positive cultural development

Canada is a much more immediate threat. They've taken so much territory that they practically border us by now!

Oh, no! Whatever will we do! How could we let Iran go so far as to take control of Tehran?

But wait, the Iranians said in 2010 they're looking by to move their capital due to earthquakes and such.

Best line in that article? "Way to show your foreign policy knowledge. Sarah Palin would be proud." Hilarious, but not really a compliment. Unless you're a Teabertarian, I guess.
