Paul doesn't want to live anymore. He's not depressed, he simply says he does not like being here and would rather just not deal with life anymore. Should Paul be allowed to kill himself or should the govt do everything they can to keep him from it?
Makes room for other people. Why not. If they want to go, why would the government stop them. If it were someone I knew, I'd try to get them to stay but if they don't want to be here....well then. That said, age should be a factor. No one under 18.
As we get older I think many think about this. I certainly do not want to suffer thru a long, agonizing illness or as a alzheimer vegetable nor do I want my family to have to deal with it. If I can legally say pull the plug why not "give me a shot"?
All potential therapeutic resources should be readily available for free, but if he wants to there's no reason to stop him. May as well help him ind a humane and clean way to do it, really.
I'm not superior to anybody in any way. The best translation of the original language was murder because unwarranted killing was what was specifically being referred to. Murder, not just killing.
So if I said I am going to kill your child it would be OK b/c I didn't use the word murder. If your pettiness isn't your attempt at superiority I do not know what would be. BTW, multiple translations with "kill".
"So if I said I am going to kill your child it would be OK b/c I didn't use the word murder"
Not at all. It wouldn't matter what you say, it matters what you do. That wouldn't just be any killing (not all killing is sinful), but murder (which is)
Senator - it was you who jumped on my use of the word "kill" when you posted "the bible says murder not kill". In itself that post is only partially correct and PARTIALLY WRONG, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? Good grief.
I know first hand that suicide is a horrible thing! Don't do it! If you think you are not loved you are wrong. God loves you no matter what you think of him.
No no no, he needs help. I speak from experience my son was depressed due to school bullying and GF issues. He wanted to kill himself - thank god he spoke up and we got him help.
Yes, at the time of depression you don't want help (and or you say you don't), not thinking clearly. It is good to help of course, but ultimately in the end, it's their decision.
