Is your ancestry mainly from Europe or elsewhere? If it's mixed, decide what you consider more important or influential.

Bohemia, Germany, England, Ireland, Wales (my family were actually one of the first ever to settle in Wales). So entirely Europe.

Grandparents from eastern Europe back in 1904. No allegiance ever surface in our house. My Pop said they're all commies! End of story. Maybe some food dishes still remain. But we all became Americans!

It's a very hard question for me. About 1/2 of my ancestry come from Europe and half from the Middle East.

The furthest back ancestor that I know of comes from French Switzerland, but my family says we're German. I don't know what to believe

Mine says German too, but my genetic tests shows mostly Nordic ancestry,

I think I'm probably in the same boat. The part of Switzerland my ancestor is from used to belong to the Burgundians, who migrated there from Scandinavia

European boarders, especially the German French, were really fluid for many generations.

European as far back as I've been able to go, so long as it counts the Roman Empire. (I've gotten to about the turn of the 11th century on my family tree)

I have mixed European heritage (my DNA is 99.9% European) but my mom is Italian. Because my dad wasn't active in my life, Italian culture has solidly dominated it.

Sorry. I was just trying to say that despite being a mix of cultures (because "European" isn't a culture), my life is only dominated by one.

Dad's family's Irish. Black Irish. My mom's family was in the states from the colonial times. I just found out a couple years ago that I'm Jewish through her family. I have been told I look very French. Also Jews assume I'm Jewish

Sort of but not really. Mother's side is English (Came to America in 1690) and it is a branch of a larger family that stayed in England to later become railroad pioneers. Father's side is French (Came in the 1790s), and may have connection to Artois.
