Is your ancestry mainly from Europe or elsewhere? If it's mixed, decide what you consider more important or influential.
My ancestors would have all been considered part of Hitler's master race
Native American (Blackfoot), African American, Scottish, Chinese, and German.
mostly Sicilian & Irish with a little Jewish, French, Welsh, and Panamanian mixed in there.
Native American (Abenaki) and French Canadian on dads side and Irish, Swedish, Scottish, English, German, Austrian...on my moms (American born mutt)
Italian as well I'm sure I forgot something
My ancestors mostly were slaves(from Africa) and a few were Native American.
Bohemia, Germany, England, Ireland, Wales (my family were actually one of the first ever to settle in Wales). So entirely Europe.
Also small Polish
Mostly Irish, with a little Ukrainian and Polish
Italy momma mia
Syrian turkish Danish French
Germans from Pomerania who fled to northern Germany before the Russian invasion.
Grandson are American with bloodlines from Poland, Russia, Finland, Austria, France, China, Inca. Yes, Inca!
Grandparents from eastern Europe back in 1904. No allegiance ever surface in our house. My Pop said they're all commies! End of story. Maybe some food dishes still remain. But we all became Americans!
Scottish/English. That's all.
Austro-Hungarian and Czechoslovakia
It's a very hard question for me. About 1/2 of my ancestry come from Europe and half from the Middle East.
The furthest back ancestor that I know of comes from French Switzerland, but my family says we're German. I don't know what to believe
Mine says German too, but my genetic tests shows mostly Nordic ancestry,
I think I'm probably in the same boat. The part of Switzerland my ancestor is from used to belong to the Burgundians, who migrated there from Scandinavia
That what the Germans always say.
I'm French Swiss. What part of that is German again?
European boarders, especially the German French, were really fluid for many generations.
Mostly Scotland and Germany.
mainly England. I come from Lincolnshire:) but Scotland France Ireland come next with a bit of Cherokee
100%, but I feel like I'm cheating.
On my moms side dutch on my dads side proud germans iv always wanted to embrace my inner german since i found out!!!
I would say mostly american. But some European really far back
Mein Vater war Irish;
meine Mutter war Deutsche. (Hütwohl) 😃
Soon, we'll all be a bit Irish. Saint Patrick's day is approaching.
European as far back as I've been able to go, so long as it counts the Roman Empire. (I've gotten to about the turn of the 11th century on my family tree)
Mainly English. Scottish and French are second and third.
I have mixed European heritage (my DNA is 99.9% European) but my mom is Italian. Because my dad wasn't active in my life, Italian culture has solidly dominated it.
Italy is imo part of Europe ;)
Definitely! I sing Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, and Donizetti, Maj! Sono un Basso profondo/buffo.
Sorry. I was just trying to say that despite being a mix of cultures (because "European" isn't a culture), my life is only dominated by one.
Nice, tlaney. 😊 My favorite to sing is Pergolesi.
I'm a mutt. Swedish and what I like to call Russo-German.
I guess Europe if we're counting those islands off the coast of France.
Dad's family's Irish. Black Irish. My mom's family was in the states from the colonial times. I just found out a couple years ago that I'm Jewish through her family. I have been told I look very French. Also Jews assume I'm Jewish
France, Ireland, & England, with a little Swiss & Norwegian thrown in.
Sort of but not really. Mother's side is English (Came to America in 1690) and it is a branch of a larger family that stayed in England to later become railroad pioneers. Father's side is French (Came in the 1790s), and may have connection to Artois.
So were you ever Artois'd?
I like that beer.
Germany / Prussia, Northern Italy, Poland.
