How old do you think it is acceptable for a young female to began wearing make up (foundation, eyeliner, mascara, etc)?

Whenever she wants to. It has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else, your opinion does not matter.

So, if a seven year old wanted to wear all of the above and leave house (say, school), is it ok?

I don't even know what I used or care. If my daughter has acne, sure, she can wear makeup over it. But no eyeshadow. Eyeliner and mascara are fine though. I say they can start using the aforementioned makeup at 13 or so, the rest around 16 or 17.

It depends. 13 is old enough for mascara. There's no reason for someone under 20 to be wearing primer, foundation, highlighter, contour, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, eye liner, etc. It’s excessive and looks awful.

It really does! On most women, if all of it is applied.

16 is a good age but they shouldn't put on ten lbs of make-up especially if they don't need it.

It's not so much about the age as it the reason behind it. I would want to talk about why it is important to do so or not to do so.

Little kids can for fun. They do it like face painting in weird colors. In middle school, people need to be able to cover pimples.
I think it's always okay if it doesn't take to long or define a person.

Also, so many times whether in person or even in social media, that I've seen a female (many different ages) that is wearing so much make up that they look much older than their real age. Honestly I find this annoying, and if it were older women

Wearing makeup to make themselves look younger (the vice versa), it isn't that bad because of the age difference.

I also reflect this subject matter on those little girl's pageants and such. They put makeup on 5-7 year olds. I personally think it's disgusting.

If I had a daughter I would encourage natural beauty over makeup but 16 would be a fair age to start playing around if she really desired to wear it.

I was 16 when I started wearing it. I was never interested it. Even still I dont wear it often. Fourteen's a good age. I cringe seeing young girls who cake on 5lbs of makeup. They're destroying their skin, eyelashes, and they're beautiful without it.

Agree though lightly. I was lucky with my daughter that she didn't want to look like Joan Jett

18-21, if at all. Every woman is prettier without makeup.

High school or maybe middle school. I'd say 13/14. I think that it's alright for younger girls to wear a little bit of makeup for special occasions or messing around at home, but 11/12 year olds & younger should not be wearing makeup regularly...

I dunno... That's tough. I don't wear make up but that's also bc I don't know how to properly do it. If my girls wanna wear it in high school I think I'd let them.

I'm trying to learn a little though so I have something to tell them 😳

My youngest is almost 2, and loves to wear makeup. Well, war paint. Okay, magic marker.

Ok. I agree with that one a bit more. I was going to say 14.

Do you wear makeup (there is nothing wrong if you do)?
