We all experience trials and challenges at some points in our lives. What characteristics or traits do you believe you have that help you see things through when times are tough?
Being able to 'shut it off' if I'm upset. It takes about an hour and then I've already convinced myself that it doesn't matter and can be productive towards the situation. More good things will come later. It's worked for every crisis in my life.
I know there have always been harder times that people overcame. My life is a walk in the park compared to most. Especially from a historical perspective. When I'm having a crappy SAHM day I think of pioneer women and all they dealt with.
Or really women in history. Let's be honest.
Faith in Jesus. Just that simple, yet just that profound. ✟ <((((((><
Faith, supportive friends, and lots of people who pray for me. In fact, a few of you have been doing that for me this week. 💙
I try to never let the turkeys get me down. Also, take some kind of positive step(s)- could be baby steps but heading toward getting through the problems.
I try to remember that nothing lasts forever. I hold on to hope, faith and my trust in God.
And I try to learn something from every experience.
I try to stay positive, have faith, and trust God.
I usually see an up side to even the toughest trials. Also have the ability to find solutions that others might not see. Several times in my adult life, I've had real health issues that had most around me saying I should go on disability, but I find
a way to keep going. My Dad never let me give up. When I had a brain tumor at 21, and lost my job, apartment, ability to live alone, he reminded me that Stephen Hawking managed to endure and still contribute. That attitude is key.
I'm part of a family, so I don't have to face anything alone.
Just being chill and making sure you can laugh
Faith and determination.
And more than your share. You make the people around you better.
Faithful and hopeful. And very imaginative when it comes to pretending reality away
I tend to be extremely patient and almost unreasonably optimistic. As well as I have a strong faith that everything happens for a reason and all bad things create mostly good results.
My faith helps me handle anything thrown in me. I don't know how people do it if they do not have this foundation.
I have a positive outlook
I feel that people that worry about something happening in the future... Ruins their Present Time...
I'm tenacious and a realist. I used to be optimistic, but life threw too many curve balls my way. I now just expect bad things to happen (Murphy's Law) and when good happens instead I'm grateful.
I trust that there is a higher power looking out for me
He is, bro. ✡
I run and pray. Then I pray that I can keep running.
Staying busy is what gets me through tough times. If I sit still too long, I begin overthinking which makes everything worse.
Optimism mainly. But, I have also come to realize that I am a strong person.
My optimism and my faith. I believe in external life so I feel I can endure what I must while I am on this earth for a short time.
And I focus on the joy.
I'm a very positive person. There's only been one time in my life that I've even been slightly close to feeling depressed. Plus I'm very stubborn...I WILL get through my trials and nothing is going to stop me :-P
Mine isn't all that nice... Unfortunately.
I'm actually not all that great at handling most stressful situations. Especially when there are multiple stressors occurring simultaneously. That being said, I have a great ability to compartmentalize. I can usually save the breakdowns for later.
You can probably call it optimism, but I am so in love with life that I don't want to waste it on anything but being happy. I think that helps me solve problems quicker and makes me able to move past things that bother me
Hope. Lots of it. Spadefuls.
Same here. Definitely my best attribute. I'm pretty patient, but hope is the bigger asset.
You both are wonderful 💕
But you're in a category all by yourself, love.
Aw. Fuzzies!! ♥️♥️
My sense of humor has gotten me through some sketchy times. I find humor in most things.
I'm ridiculously optimistic.
That's just ridiculous. :-)
It's my religiously informed belief that trials and challenges aren't just a natural part of life, but that experiencing them is a big part of why we're here to begin with. This view allows me to look at them as "normal" and as opportunities.
I think that I've been blessed with patience. I'm okay at waiting things out. Now I'm waiting to see if I've got some fortitude to go with all of that patience. :)
I am blown away with how patient you are... With everybody. It was so humbling to witness 💕
Aww, thanks momma. The boys are still talking about your visit and how much they like you. 💗
Awe... Your boys are so sweet! We will have to get the whole fam together sometime... It'll be a circus but I think a lot of fun 😊
I would absolutely love that!!! Stat's been interviewing with a company just outside Chicago. You never know. I'll need you & Kay41 to teach me how to stay warm in that kind of chill. ❄️
Guuuurl!! Don't tease! That would be amazing! (Not the cold...) haha
