Just found today that March 27 I am having my Pacemaker replaced after 10 yrs.the same Dr. That put mine in is doing it again.
Battery replacement is quick and easy. My best friend had one put in at the age of 29. My mom also had one. Her actual replacement literally took 8 minutes.
My best friends is still going strong. They said probably around the 10 year mark it will have to be replaced.
Good luck and heal quickly
I hope you have an uneventful procedure.
Here's to another good 10!
Thanks I hope.
Stand next to the Microwave the day they take it out... Just to see...
I use a microwave everyday with no trouble.😀
Good luck with everything! Hope all is smooth sailing!
It should be aok.
Will the newer model require replacement or will it last for a really long time, making replacement unlikely?
Don't know as my bottom chamber is being paced 100% of the time,I feel fine.
10 years is about maximum time.
Looks like it will be an overnight stay as they are adding a 3rd wire this time,as I have Afib they say.
That's interesting. Much success.
Good luck, Vet! I'll be keeping you in
Timeout I sure will try, they tell me it will be out patient unless something happens then overnight.😉
Yes it has 10 yrs.battery life left is about 3 months left.😱😀
It should be out patient surgery.
I haven't got one, but my father had his replace and neither one was outpatient. He lived to be 90, so keep on trucking buddy..
