I voted yes, but my mom was born in Illinois. I'm pretty sure the birther crowd considers that a foreign country too, along with Hawaii. At least for now.
Ill I noise? Sounds like Kenya.
I live in Illinois. We're not foreign
Neither of them were.
Both of my parents are from south. I'm glad they left and didn't raise me there.
They were from Mississippi specifically, and that state looks awful.
But they were both born in America. Which was the question.
Can you guess mine?
Well I guess we know now why the human average IQ is so low. 😜
But yeah, I'll give you a few more guesses.
Here is a hint, it starts with an I, it is a sub-continent, and it has the world send largest population.
Strike 3 your out
I know that, it just requires too much extra effort to type you're, it's obvious what I mean by your
If adding three additional characters is that much of an effort for you, I fear for this nation...
This nation has been screwed
We are talking about the usa right?
I hate people who parents weren't
Honestly, why? Do you just go around asking "Are your parents American-born?" Would you hate the person who answers "no"? Your statement makes no sense.
Well he may be racist, but his statement does not imply that he is. It implies he hates anyone, of any race, whose parents are not born in the USA. He could be a nativist, but then again unless he is full Native American, he is also an outsider.
What is the term for one who hates himself or herself?
Oh and I'm assuming he is a he since I don't know his gender.
Thanks for hating me for no reason. But my siblings were born in USA.
My mother is Caribbean but my father is American.
Mother was born in Upstate NY and my father was born in Liverpool England.
My great grandparents on my moms side were from what is now the Czech Republic (we think). They homesteaded in Nebraska.
Mother born in Ohio, father born in Czechoslovakia.
Yes, but my great-great-grandmother was born in Austria, my great-great-grandfather in Russia.

My moms side of the family has been here virtually since the mayflower (first ship after it I believe. Something like that)
Father born in Thailand, left soon father birth
First generation american, both of my parents were born in Africa.
Nope. My family's been in the U.S. forever. My mother's side first settled in Massachusetts in the 1690s in Salem. My father's side came to Quebec in the 1790s.
My moms side has been here since like right after the mayflower! Dads side is pretty new haha
Dad's from the US, Mom's Mexican, and I was born in Mexico too. We came to the US cause Dad was homesick haha.
Mom was a border running Canadian
I love that you said that. Lol
And why does this even matter?
Because it's interesting to learn people's ancestry and background? Not everyone is whitebred vanilla like you.
Why are you on SOH if you don't want to answer questions?!
Both my parents were born in India. My dad came to the US when he was 10 with my grandparents; my mom came when she was 21 after she had been married to my dad for a year
Parents and grandparents, and a fair number of my great grandparents, even further back on my mom's side
My mom is from Canada. She came here when she was 18. When she was in her early thirties (1980-something), ins knocked on our door and she got in trouble. She then went through the process to become a citizen.
Now she's a staunch republican and wants to build a wall to keep Mexicans out. She fails to see the irony.
No irony there. She learned from her own experience.
