In regards to hotly debated issues, do you think of yourself as more of a firebrand or a diplomat?
I like to think I'm more of a diplomat.
Depends on the issue. I hate talking to arrogant closeminded people. It's like arguing to a shovel. Then when I can't get my point across the eff bombs start coming. I am an awful debater because I am short tempered and impatient. And when you
the idiots who like to sneer and laugh because they pissed you off in the first place, they're lucky I don't veer off and punch them. I need to learn how to avoid those people. Most of the time I do because I know they're douchewaffles.
Depends on the subject and who's the audience or person.
If part of being diplomatic means that people should know precisely where you stand but nicely, I try for diplomatic. Is the response comes back in a rude and crude way, I let the G** D*** IDIOTS know exactly what I think of them.
But in a loving and Christian way.
I try to be diplomatic. I don't debate much though.
Well, Cite, I've possibly debated more with you than anyone else on SOH. How would you judge me?
It's good to "see" you back, BTW!
Before Obama, I was more diplomatic but you can't be diplomatic against a bunch of stupid rednecks who only despise Obama because they think he's from Kenya
There are many, many more reasons to hate obama other than that.
Depends on the mood I'm in. And if I'm engaging the one and only cowboy.
I try and be more on the diplomatic side (and I hope I'm successful) but I can be a firebrand at times
More casual observer. We aren't going to solve any issue by debating it, hotly or otherwise.
Diplomat for sure. Lol. One man's opinion.
I don't mind having a debate, but on SoH, bring a firebrand just means that trolls come along and pour lighter fluid on the fire. Engagement does nothing but waste my breath and my time.
Depends on the issue. However, usually I'm more diplomatic.
More of a hibachi? Cook them, but with style?
It's blue and bronze!
