Why should it matter if she was a stripped or whatever. If she is a good teacher and actually can teach a class and have them retain the information, then her past occupation should not matter

Everyone makes mistakes! She could've been drunk for all we know. And once it's out, she can't get it back. As long as she isn't still doing it, it should be fine

We do contribute to public schools too you know. I pay a ton in property taxes and dont have even have children. I should have a small vote too, and Im not comfortable with it in my neighborhood. Maybe she can go to a worse district where they need her more.

How many teachers have had Girls Gone Wild moments in college or Spring Break? How many have done things they may not be proud of to pay back loans? Webcams for instance.

Shouldn't her merits as a teacher be what's on the table here? A lot of teachers are incompetent and lazy but as long as they have a squeaky clean background it's ok for them to "shape" minds? If a kid is gonna look at they're teacher sexually they're gonna do it regardless of a video.

I would like to see this country be successful in the future. The Chinese will dominate us in 20 years if our children are being taught by former strippers.

If my children were assigned to her class I would demand a different teacher. Can people change? Of course... But most people don't.

Did they view it in school? Just unclear what law ur referring to & how the school could enforce it if it wasn't done on school property or brought to school. I kno little on what was put in the question.

This was really tough. I have empathy 4 her, most people have things in their past they would change & doesn't reflect the person they r today BUT I side w/ the district. b/c of her past her ability to teach these particular students is void & frankly I admit I wouldn't want her teaching mine

I think it is much more telling, that the students were looking for, and found such info. Yet, the district will not be reprimanding the students for breaking the law (it is against the law for minors to seek out, and/or view pornography – never mind that it's widely done – they broke the law).

A family friend was a science teacher at the school I attended. I was stoke to find out she was going to b my teacher. There was 1 thing my family never told me though, she was a crackhead. About a 3rd of the way through the year she just stopped coming to class. We had a sub the rest of the year.

A girl's gotta eat but I would not want someone who has done porn teaching my kids.
No real specific reason I can point to.
Just my reaction.

OK, understood. The way you worded it, it sounded as if you thought she was still active making porn videos. I realize the videos are online currently, but I'm guessing she has exactly zero control over that. I'm not arguing one way or the other on this, by the way; I see points on both sides.

So she should teach someplace where she would be a better role model. I don't think they have porn school, do they? If so, it would be in LA.

Teachers should be role models, to an extent. As TEACHERS, they're meant to set an example for their students. Her students will lose all respect for her and reject her authority. In this economy, plenty of young teachers are looking for jobs. Give those jobs to the kind of people you want...

I am surprised by the fact that someone who has made pornographic movies period, was even able to get a job working in a school with children. In choosing her latter career I'm sure she was told about the obstacles she would now face. She still has other options and can teach college students, etc.

Once again I'm amazed by these comments. Do you realize how many employers will look on your Facebook pages BEFORE hiring you to see if you are the right type of person they want to hire? This is not considered illegal and is more common than you think.

She has a website that is up and videos to watch. It doesn't matter if they were taped last year or last night. They are available right now. Unless she is now 70 years old and gray hair, they are current.

That's not the impression I got. The news stories I read said she did the porn stuff for ~9 months in 2006. Has additional information been released since that?

Saying kids shouldn't be looking at porn is like telling criminals to register their guns.... Duh.
Every kid sneaks a peak at a playboy or something similar. The positions and actions of that woman shouldn't be what a student sees when he is supposed to be learning lessons.
Kids talk. It's out

Duh, wake up people! A hardcore porn star shouldn't be trying to shape the minds of children.

She IS a porn star. This isn't something from her past. This is a current thing. It's also not just some picture somewhere, it's hardcore porn. She's a complete idiot to think she could just teach all day and carry on like that. I have seen teachers lose their jobs for a lot less.
