Would you rather visit the Grand Canyon or the Eiffel Tower?
I have been to both, Grand Canyon twice!
no same with the mall of America for me MINNESOTA!
I suspect that people in the west are more likely to have already seen the Grand Canyon at least once, so may just be choosing the other option for variety. But many states are pretty close to 50-50, so it's not quite as dramatic as it looks.
Lol at the map. What's with that?
Same with the Mall of America for me.
Eiffel Tower? Dirty, socialist Paris? Pass. I'll take the Grand Canyon's natural All-American beauty any day.
You probably don't even know any French people. Way to try to fit into the crowd....let me guess "Freedom Fries" right?
Grand Canyon! Keepin it USA!
Im laughing right now because i read your comment in a southern texas accent.
Already have seen the Eiffel Tower.
I'm afraid even the IMAX version would give me vertigo. Maybe *especially* the IMAX version.
Already been to the Eiffel Tower, which is MUCH bigger than you think it's going to be, and WELL worth going to see since The Leuvre is walking distance too.
Eiffel Tower. I'm content to see the IMAX version of the Grand Canyon.
That sounded kinda satirical, Nick!
They'll take back the fries
I live like... 5 hours away from the grand canyon. Im kinda used to seeing it XD
I've already *been
Grand Canyon! I've already need to the Eiffel Tower. ????????
I hear the Eiffel Tower is actually really dirty and had gum and graffiti all over it. I'd rather enjoy nature than experience a more tribal culture, not French culture.
Hey Nick. :-)
Suck it france
The french were the kickass bamfs of the middle ages, theyve just had a bad string of luck past 200 years.
I love the louvre you can see the history of the world in one place! Even if it was stolen
I've been to the Grand Canyon and it is much more awe-inspiring that some stupid building. It doesn't even compare to the Chrysler Building or Pearl Harbor or even the "Batman Building" in Nashville. It is most definitely a disappointment.
I would like to visit the Grand Canyon in a small, fast, agile aircraft...
It's not a day trip for me. A 4 hour flight to Vegas, Phoenix, or Flagstaff. Followed by a bunch of driving. Might as well just take the 8 hour flight to Europe.
I don't like the French.
I chose the Eiffel Tower only because I haven't been to that yet.
Totally agree. Been to France several times and it is not on my favorite list. Paris population generally rude but get out of Paris ( southern France) and folks are great.
I could explain to you that the eiffel tower was actually built for the 1889 worlds fair, but i'll let you live in ignorance. Fun fact: the d'orsay art museum is built out of an old industrial revolution train station.
Youre right, god made the grand canyon because there's absolutely no way erosion could have made it.
Youre right, paris would entertain me for about a week. The canyon would entertain me for about an hour.
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWBOOOOOOOOOOOY COME OUT TO PLAAAAAAAAAAAAY
Just another piece of evidence that says gods blesses america, and no one else.
Im assuming you booked your ticket, got to paris, drove to the tower, took a few pics, then went home?
Is that the name of an american made propaganda film?
You dont go to paris to see the eiffel tower, if you did it would be a wasted trip.
Oh, sorry, i meant, YEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAA IM WITH YA PARDNER SCREW THEM DAMN COMMIE BASTARDS!
I drove past the eiffel tower, its actually really over-rated. I would recommend the d'orsay, and the louvre, mostly because theyre within walking distance.
I've been to Yellowstone more times than I can count and it gets more crowded each time. However, I was there a few days before they shut down for the winter and I only saw one other car. It was awesome!
susanr - Fascinating! I too love the patterns within things, though I've never worked in the sciences. My fiels have always been language and music. There's a jewelry company called Stauer (www.stauer.com) that sells a couple pieces with Helenite stones (a gem from Mt St H). It's gorgeous! :)
Go to a proud red state or some socialist country? Here I come Grand Canyon!
