If I could wish doors to open themselves I would do that too.
I hate having to touch shiit that others touch.
Sometimes I just kick open doors that aren't latched shut.
Germophobia isn't at all a bad thing to have.

There is no ALWAYS. The wording of the sentence isn't right. It's like saying 'never,' there is probably an exception. Give me a break people, it's not like 38 percent of people don't wash their hands. They probably couldn't say they do it 100% of the time- most likely, neither can you.

wait until you get a stomach or intestinal ailment and find out it is linked to someone not washing their hands or keeping the food prep area clean. spent a few days in a hospital hooked to an IV while everything passed straight through. no fun and I actually was trying to make deals with God

So how many of you wash your hands for the prescribed 2 minutes? Think singing the ABCs twice

38% of you are some seriously nasty people. I hope you all die of flesh eating virus.

Do any of you understand how much dirtier your money is than ANYTHING in the bathroom? Or you computer keyboard? Or the light switch? Washing your hands is a good thing to do a few times a day, but washing your hands EVERY time you use the restroom does nothing but strengthen bacterium and viruses.

@401k I'm not a biologist but I'm pretty sure the germs you wash off are worse for you than the ones you pick up.

@harvard. I hope you're kidding about the tip comment. There are plenty of servers who are extremely hygienic, do excellent jobs and make barely over $2 because they are "tipped employees." they don't make any more money that you pay them based on how well they took care of you during your meal.

When I'm at school and girls walk out of a stall, fix their hair, and then just walk out, I'm sooo disgusted! I alwaaaays wash my hands, even at 3AM in my own home. Even washing your hands for ten seconds is better than nothing. Can't you sacrifice ten seconds for your and everyone else's hygiene?

@psycho44 that is the reason why i dont give tips at anywhere i eat. Never.

Why would you wipe your butt after taking a dump and not washing your hands then shaking somebody's hand?

As a biologist I know that you pick up more germs washing your hands in a public bathroom than you get rid of by washing. Alcohol based hand sanitizer is much more efficient

This is one of those questions that I expected to be 90% + "yes".
Instead I was grossed out. Apparently 40% of you have never taken a basic bio class.

I always have washed my hands after using the bathroom. I mean, if no hand sanitizer or water is available, obviously I can't wash my hands. Especially after a long unit on the immune system in Biology, I wash them very thoroughly.

Wow, look at how blue new Hampshire is! Don't have to use a towel to grab the restroom door handle in that state. Nice!

Old joke: A Marine and a sailor are in the bathroom...
As the sailor leaves without washing his hands, the Marine shouts, "Hey! In Marine boot camp, they taught us to wash our hands after using the bathroom."
The sailor says, "In Navy boot camp they taught us not to pee on our fingers.".

I suppose that the majority of the people that say they always wash their hands have never been to an outdoor event, before hand sanitizer was prevelant, where the only available toilet is a porta potty and the fake sink they put outside it is empty.

You non hand washers are gross! BTW, you don't wash them because of the germs in the bathroom you use, you wash them because no matter how clean you think you are, you DO have your body waste on them! No hand washing at home is just plain disgusting!

Y'all do know that bacteria lies in warm, moist places, right? And I'm pretty sure the warmest, moistest places on our bodies are in between our legs. So, wiping waste (solid or liquid) from those areas and NOT washing your hands is just plain icky sticky gooey, no matter what restroom you're in
