I know it has a long history, but in it's modern incarnation does any other nation have as complicated and complex history as Israel? I mean I feel like I could spend a lifetime trying to understand all of the complexities, it's kind of daunting to
approach, that's probably why it's become so divisive. It's hard to form a nuanced view if there so much literature and historical detail to dig through, with heady implications, it's easier to just post a flag in the ground.
