Last night an Akron cop was killed in a bar by being shot,he was working for the bar owner.Says in the "in the line of duty"Was it really "line of duty"
I don't know the facts but, if he was working it's possible.
Possibly...your comment leaves out pertinent information. Was he shot while trying to serve and protect? Trying to stop a robbery? A shooting? A murder? Then yes, in the line of duty. Protecting the innocent comes first, on or off shift
No, and I don't think the Akron Police Department is going to think so was either.
Considering an officer got shot I'd imagine a criminal did it and obviously this firefight started when the cop said something to the criminal.
Could be that it was an ex-con that recognized the officer and no words wore spoken...

Well no one just kills for no reason.
If Nemacyst sees a drug deal, says something and they run while one of them turns around and shoots, I'd say it's the line of duty
No reason? How about being a psychopath or sociopath? Or is that something we should feel compassionate about for the killer?
4 other people were wounded, they are doing fine.
Actually some criminals do kill for no good reason. There's people who have said the reason they murdered was for shits and grins
Some but very very few.
Nemacyst: No idea if you're trolling or on attack mode today but I've been feeling very good and you won't bring me down with these comments everywhere. Wait till I have a beer or two and we can pick something to argue over
I'd say no.
No line of duty is when you are on city time only, not private time!
Nemacyst---at least the cops where I live make goooood money and get extra jobs to get out of debt I bet you.
And they don't have to speak Spanish. Haha. :-0
Wrong! Many jurisdictions require their officers to carry their sidearm and respond if needed
Navy vet you sound like a practicing troll or practicing to be a troll
