Last session, Texas House Speaker Joe Straus (R-121) appointed Rep. Jim Pitts (R-10) as Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. According to the TexLeg app, Rep. Pitts' voting record places him as the 91st most partisan of 95 Republicans.
