Should God be brought back in schools?
Which one? Who picks? I suggest FSM...
Not in any science class
In a religious studies class or discussing literature then certainly
It never left.. Only for public schools and you say god but their are a lot of gods.. Sooo
God never left the schools. That's an Old wives tale. If you do not believe that God is where ever people need Him to be, then you do not truly believe.
Now, organized teacher led Prayer, and ideas like intelligent design do not belong in public schools.
Yes as soon as he or it comes down here and proves it's factual.
Not public schools
As long as there are tests there will always be prayer in school.
No, in the church.
"God has no place within these walls, just like facts have no place in organized religion." -Superintendent Chalmers
But Christianity & Judaism are FULL of archaeologically-verified historical facts. We know the real location of Mt. Sinai (Jabal al Lawz in Saudi Arabia), we know for sure that King David existed, that Jesus taught and was Crucified, then seen alive
by over 500 eyewitnesses. These and many others are facts which have every right to be celebrated by Jews and/or Christians. So your quoted author is simply misinformed.
My quoted author is a Simpsons character. Relax :)
Dang! I knew he sounded familiar! I don't get to watch it very often anymore. :-D
Other than the bible and other Religious texts, how do you KNOW Jesus taught and was crucified?
There is more historical evidence for Jesus, even from less-than-friendly sources like the Jewish historian Josephus, than there is for Julius Caesar. The sources agree that He was a Rabbi and was crucified, and that His tomb was found empty.
Kids don't go to public school to learn their religion. That's what parents/churches are for. Schools are for learning knowledge. If a kid or group of kids want to pray, go for it, but no one should be forced.
No nobody should be forces to prat or have the same religion as everyone else. But if kid want to pray in school shouldn't they have the right? Instead of getting in major trouble.
Yeah, that's what I said.
