Can you have a 500 proof alcoholic beverage?
Watched the flash? :)
I couldn't, not if I wanted to walk or talk any time soon.
That would be um, 250% alcohol. Impressive!
You really can't. 200 proof is 100% alcohol, as high as you can hope for, and you can't even get to that by distillation. You wouldn't like it anyway. Everclear at 190 proof is the highest I've ever tried, and it is nasty even in orange juice.
Probably what turned your hair white, LOL. But I agree it's horrible stuff
We saw that watching The Flash. Our mouths dropped!
That's one reason I follow you. You don't let much get past you!
Thank you! That made my day! :)
Idk 100 proof can stop me.
I could use a 500-proof drink after today...
I'm with ya brother
I don't drink, and I'll challenge you to this mythological challenge!
You never disappoint Kyle! I haven't drank in a month, but tonight I'm finishing this bottle of champagne. Haha, today was a terrible day to be a programmer...
It's okay. We all have those days and deal with them differently. Certainly can't blame you for that.
I hope things get better, though.
Ha, thanks man. It really wasn't that bad. I don't get stressed, so I was like 'whatevs.' I just want to use it as an excuse ;)
Now you sound like an alcoholic... Oh well. :P
Haven't drank in a month? I think your safe.
Mythology? There was a time I was pretty good with that.
Same business!! today sucked
Only in heaven.
I don't think 500 but lots of alcohol is over 120
Proof is twice the percentage of alcohol, so 120 proof means a drink is 60% alcohol. 200 Proof would then therefore be 100% alcohol. 500 Proof thus means some drink is 250% alcohol. Which makes no sense at all. :D
This question was inspired by last night's episode of The Flash (which is an awesome show). But I was utterly disappointed to hear that they believe that they could make a drink that was more than 100 percent alcohol. *sigh*
Saw that this morning.
"I understood that reference."
So you are both an Arrow and Flash fan? I came late to the party (started season 1 of Arrow right before season 2 debuted), but it's definitely a house favorite. :)
And Gotham, and Constantine, to an extent.
Maybe they're using hyper-alcohol: alcohol distilled in a hypercube shaped still.
I didn't like Gotham, so I stopped watching it. I haven't checked out Constantine yet.
