Do you think you should take classes in college that are not even helpful for your major? (Gen. Ed Credits)
I don't think you should have to if you dont want to. I'm taking gen. education classes because I don't know what I want to major in yet. But I think it's a waste of time and money if you know exactly what you want to do and don't need those classes.
Yes. It's called an education. Life is not all about employment. It's good to be knowledgeable about a number of things. And yes, I'm one of those old fogies.
Overall I think they're pointless. Due to of all the gen eds I need to take along with my other credits, I have to take summer courses. Summer courses = more time and money...really? 4 years isn't enough to earn an undergrad degree?
Rant over :)
Sounds like a lot work. Couldn't agree anymore and good luck!
I've asked this question myself, and I found that the older population thought they were necessary, and the younger didn't. Personally, I don't like being told I have to pay for an irrelevant class just to graduate.
yea I know that's what I'm saying.
Taking gen eds moves my focus from my important science classes to the unimportant ones. Then, I don't get to study as much for the classes that actually matter
Yeah sorry things like this make me rant
Lol it's ok I'm definitely with you on that one though. Just wanted to know if I was the only one who thought that.
