You R walking in a parking lot. You R healthy, not pregnant or limping, nor holding a baby or pushing a carriage. You are not walking with an elderly person. Is there any reason why you take your time when you know cars are waiting for you to pass?

Maybe you have knee problems that make walking faster throw you off balance and/or cause pain. But there's always some impatient person ready to judge you because you don't have an obvious problem that satisfies their criteria for how you walk.

It's probably the same person who passes judgement on you for using the handicapped stall because the higher toilet doesn't make your knees hurt.

I try to walk fast, but those stupid lighys will turn when you're in the street and if I got bags in my arms, I'll be damned if I'm gonna run across. Plus, I like to piss off people sometimes. You keep honking, I walk slower. And I'll point & l

laugh. Just to be a smarmy asshole. I don't do that often though, just when I'm mad. I walk in crosswalks &watch where I'm going. I try to walk fast. but what happens when you're in a crowd?

The people in the cars are trying to get somewhere too, I don't understand why you would intentionally try and delay them...

I usually try to hurry across whether I have the right away or not. I feel it can definitely be selfish especially if people were doing it intentionally.

I never wait for cars to allow me to pass. They are bigger and heavier than I am...

As a driver I go if the person crossing is to slow or not close enough to the cross walk.

And if they are walking in the center of an aisle...I will get very close to them. Only the idiots don't move.

I wouldn't call it selfish. Most of the time I try to hurry up even though pedestrians have the right away in that instance usually. One reason would be not paying attention or having something on your mind.

I'm not sure I follow. Like in the crosswalk? I always walk fast when crossing anywhere or wait to be waived across.

U know when there are stop signs in front of Wegmans or Christmas Tree Shops. Things like that.

Ah okay. Should be treated the same as a regular stop sign in the road then.

Even if someone doesn't look like they have any reason to be going slowly, they might. I personally speed up a bit but some people might not for their own reasons.

I get that. People can be sick but show no signs of it but if I had to wager a bet these people I speak of just don't care.

I've had severe hip pain, you can't see that but I try to go as fast, as I can. Some days that's not very fast.

Sandy - believe me I understand. I have RA and have had days where my hub had to lift me out of bed. I know pain. I doubt everyone that takes their time has pain like you and I.

It fun to mess with strangers sometimes. Lighten up, and give it a try sometimes.

There's a button in the middle of your steering wheel for that. Just hold it down until they get the fudge out of the way.

I never use it. That would be rude

Bad idea. At college, cars get impatient at the large number of students walking through the crosswalk. What does everyone do about the impatient driver? Walk slower.

I will always pick up the pace even a little. To me it is a slight acknowledgement that I see them and I know their time is valuable too.

It's not even their normal pace sometimes. They stop, look at their cell and are completely oblivious that 3 cars cannot move because of them. I am often in a lot of pain and I don't like to appear lazy dazy to someone else- and I have an excuse.

Yes, some people drive like that drive me nuts. Unless they have a reason, I don't understand how anyone has the time or desire to saunter obliviously in a parking lot. Btw, nice profile pic - I almost switched to that one today.

LOL. The images you brought up. I hurry across. It annoys me to no end when people just stroll for no reason.
