Have you ever had the fire department called to your house or workplace?
Last week for a popcorn fire.
Very scary. Half the shopping strip where our office is burnt down. Ours was the first office that didn't burn thanks to a firewall.
Not for a fire, but when my dad had a heart attack 10 years ago the fire department came along with the ambulance.
Three times at my work place. One was a false alarm, pulled alarm. The other was a small fire in the kitchen.
Yes. The building we lived in, or perhaps the adjoining one, was fire-bombed once back in the early 1970s. The fire department got there pretty fast so there was very little damage to the structure itself; more to the fence between
the back yards. They were rolling up their hoses & preparing to leave when we notice there were still flames on the roof, though.
We had the fire department called to my workplace (a medical school with research labs) a number of times, too. Not always for a fire, though; they'd come if there was any accident or chemical spill.
Yep, I worked in a gas station once and a driver hit a pump pretty hard. Luckily it was pumping diesel at the time because the cut-off valve failed.
Once when I was a kid. My mom burned something in the oven.
Once. My mom was BBQing and set the fence on fire.
