Has 2012 been better for you than 2011 was?
Obumer won, this year is not good at all!!!
He is and he is a pricey one at 6 trillion in just 4 years. Surprised that we got a donkey/ass back in office.
Yes but as far as this election goes, HELL NO!
Yes and no. Better in some ways. Worse in some ways.
I recovered from surgery and started doing sports again. I went on the best trip of my life, solidified lots of friendships, had my first dance with a boy, and nailed my grades.
I married the love of my life. So, yes, very much so.
I think socially and academically it was a better year, but financially worse.
I'm so sorry. My family has experienced 2 deaths this year also. The holidays have been hard. I understand what you are going thru!
I'm so sorry.
Worse. Husband laid off from a job we moved for 8 mth prior. My business is failing. My mom died, and my 18 yr old nephew was killed in an accident 2 weeks ago. Schools are made bc of absenses related to funerals. We do have amazing family and friends. Lots of support. 2013 has got to be better.
My dad didn't have a job in 2011, so yes, 2012 is much better
It was slightly better, but both (and 2010) were the worst years of my life.
Obama is a two term president :)
Yeah, now my front teeth are solid gold. :-))
Obama got reelected and even though so many Republicans screamed that it was the beginning of the end, 2/3 had a better year over last. It's a Christmas miracle!
Goods and bads. 2011- son was born, and got pregnant, mom almost died but she lived. 2012- adopted our son- had a miscarriage- mom got better-grams got breast cancer-aunt is fighting for her life- lost hours at work. So not really great 2013 better be good
I was diagnosed with cancer in 2011. I'm still alive. Guess my answer, lol.
@ncbuc...yeah better in his term because I thought it would be his last.
There have been some good things happen, too. Like our oldest son getting married. My husband has a new job. We have our family. I'm grateful for all the wonderful blessings!!!!!!!
No. 9 ER visits with children and husband (thankful none was for me). Step-son died in March. Husband got laid off in August. Our finances went from absolutely no money worries to "how the heck are we going to keep the heat on?". 2013 will definitely be better!!!!!!
Love this question. Hope we see it every year. :)
I'm so deeply sorry for your double losses.
I'm so very sorry.
I'm a libertarian did not vote for either of them. But our economy sure is not better.
2012 has been the worst year ever. Lost my father & husband within 6 weeks of each other to cancer. I'm hopeful 2013 will be a year of healing for each of the people who love & miss them.
Not a whole lot of difference but 2012 is definitely better. Both were good, but I lost my job in 2011 and still worry a lot about finances. I live in a more beautiful place now & am near my daughter & son-in-law, but moved away from friends & the town where I grew up. But yeah, overall better.
Don't be scared about school. There are some real advantages to going later. You're more mature, less distracted by silly stuff. I went back to complete my BS at 42, finished a PhD at 51. Never regretted it.
Understand about the last week; I think the whole country is having a really hard time, although nothing like what those families are living through. Sounds like your own life has been just fabulous this year, though. Bet you'll miss your daughter, although it sounds like a wonderful opportunity!
I hope 2013 is better for you both.
Oh, wow. I'm so sorry.
I wish you look better than before. Do you have a gold tooth? <giggle>
@sarahap...ditto as myself. I have no full time job for more than 4 years after I just earned 3rd college engineering degree. Today many professional companies are impossible. I was worry they did look for the disability, education, age and work experience discrimination against me.
Oh. So the year was better during the presidents term....yet his reelection is not good? Sounds like an oxymoron if that is all you base your life on.
Well, in 2012 I finally got my missing front teeth replaced. I'm pretty happy about that.
I graduated college in 2011, got married in 2012. Being married wins! Especially since the degree didn't get me a job.
For me, every year is better than the last. It's a new year with new experiences and new relationships. No matter how many bad things happen in a year it's better to cherish the good.
Thank you Moonshot!
I'm sorry. ????
Neither of my kids or myself have health insh. Welcome to America.
If that's your only issue you have a good life.
I was gonna say yes, but then I remembered the outcome of the election.
Let's see here, my husband died in 2012, pretty easy to answer!
2011 was so shitty for me. 2012 was pretty tight.
job promotion and my son was born, so it was pretty good despite macro events.
Noticed the young people had a better 2012. Why? Entitlements have increased under Obama. We are headed toward how Greece ended up!
2012 was the WORST!!!
2012 sucked a little less than 2011.
