I keep getting them as gifts even though I never wear them. Own, but don't wear.

Besides rarely needing a scarf in the mild climate here in the south; I'm also not nearly... Ummmmm... 'Metro' enough to wear one. ????

I said the same thing to my daughter upon wearing the scarf she gave me for the first time. She informed me that everyone feels that way when they first put on a scarf, and that I should push through that feeling. She was right. I was fine after the initial two minutes.

Can someone please explain to me why the heck democrats are more likely to own a scarf than republicans? It's fit nothing to do with politics!

From the looks of the map, humidity and scarves don't mix.

A scarf in the Florida Keys is about as useful as a raincoat in the Sahara desert.

Own them? Yes. Wear them? Only when I'm visiting my parents in Utah. It's nearly December and I'm in short sleeves!

The only reason I do is because A) I can make them and B) a few years ago we went to Baltimore for Christmas.
If not for those two things I probably wouldn't. As it is, I've only had a chance to wear them about 3 times in the past 6-ish winters since we went to Baltimore.

I have a bunch that I got while deployed. They were only $1, but I don't were them unless It's winter here, or I visit a colder state.

You're like my Dad and husband. They asked me to make them scarves, and their only parameters? Make them soft! Because they like soft things. Exactly what they both said.

I own at least a dozen. Winter scarves, decorative scarves, even some that can be used as belts (to tie in lose dresses). My favorite are the ones I can pull my hair back with, or totally cover my head with in the summer so my Long hair doesn't get tangled with the car widows down.

I actually have several. Texas weather really doesn't call for them and I very rarely ever wear any of them, but I think they are pretty and fun and I like seeing my repurposed hat rack covered in them.

There's about a 3 month window I can get away with wearing one.. But they're sheer & very thin. Rarely do I wear my knitted scarf.
