Do you work on your own car and try to figure out the cause of a problem on your own, or do you usually go straight to a professional?
I'm a mechanic, so pretty much me. Unless its computer related, as I'm not an auto mechanic and don't have the equipment for that.
I go to my brother in law, who is a mechanic.
Depends on the problem. Some things I'll do my self, others I let the mechanic do
But if you hear a strange noise or notice something wrong, do you try to figure out what it is first or just send it off to a mechanic?
It depends on the problem. I can't fix brakes, so that's a trip to the mechanic. I can do a lot of simple stuff, so I try to do what I can on my own first, then call for back up.
Changing your brakes are actually one of the easier things to do on your own, and you can save a lot of money by doing so.
That's something I never got around to learning. My husband laughs when I tell him I want to take an auto mechanics class. Then he's always grateful that I already know how to change the battery. Go figure. :)
I would make it worse.
