Brittany Maynard moved to Oregon so she could participate in that state's Death With Dignity Act. She ended her life on 11/1. After reading the link below-understanding her symptoms and prognosis-did she make the right call?

There is no good call. It's her call and hers alone. Neither choice ends well.

I watched my mom die. It's very hard to see the decline happening. The month before she passed she was a shell of who she was. Everyone should be allowed to die with dignity when the illness is terminal and end stage.

I agree completely. I watched my step father do the same thing and it was heart breaking. I'm sorry about your mom.

She not only spared herself pain but she also spared her loved ones the pain of continuing to see her suffer.

If she would not have made that choice, she would have been in pain for maybe a few months before she died. She would die, I would let her go to spare her the pain..
