Stalin saved the world from Nazism, and Hitler saved the world from Communism.
Just different words for dictatorship.
I think it might be the other way around. Hitler saved the world from Nazism. Stalin saved the world from Communism. Both such hated characatures. The history of Hitler and nazism is almost mythical. Nazis are seen as demons.
Rather than as actual people.
Communism self-destroyed itself.
Both murdering thugs!
The first sentence is accurate. I'm not so sure one can say the second is...
The second still happened (communism spreading) but without Hitlers invasion of The Soviet Union, I could only imagine the arms race of the Cold War.
The soviets really did most of the work in destroying the nazis but lost many men doing it. I don't know if I'd say either "saved" though.
I probably should rephrase-the first is more accurate, though I think it is fair to say the soviets pulled their weight and then a lot.
Whereas as much as I absolutely despise communism-at least I'd only be dead or imprisoned for being a capitalist under most communist regimes. I'd be dead for my ethnicity/race under Hitler. Frankly, if aliens invaded during WWII and it was a choice
Between supporting a human alliance with hitler in it and supporting the aliens, I'd probably fare better under the aliens, wouldn't you say?
Well of course but if Stalin and Hitler fight each other, isn't it the people who really win?
Interesting theory no doubt. I don't like glorifying either, but they did kind of cancel each other out.
