it just happens to know when I'm going to call a restaurant and hab them get started on an order...

11/04/14 8:32 pm

Google has the power to know any data you but on your devices.

11/03/14 11:28 pm

Google doesn't know anything I didn't feel comfortable "sharing."

Google needs to be shut down or something

Yes & strangely enough, even when I'm NOT logged in.

What doesn't Google know about me? Hold on, I'll Google it...

Answering this question means now Google even knows that I know that they know too much about me.

No I'm a secret ninja shhh don't tell

A Ninja in Wisconsin. That narrowed it down nicely. >=-]

Google knows a lot about me but its ok. I'm not concerned about it.

I have the same name as several fairly well known people. If you google me you have to wade through pages and pages of "them"

they'd be bored silly if they knew everything about me

10/31/14 7:13 am

I'm a complete open book. There is not anything I would hesitate to mention about me.

I refuse to get google plus!

All they know is my browsing history

10/31/14 6:21 am

Yes and no. Business wise, they do know too much because of my searches. Personally, I don't think they know much.

Yes, Google knows more about me than I'd like. I'd like them to know nothing about me.

Nope. They only know what I let them know.

Diknak Ohio

I don't really care. They provide great services and they have no authority over me, so it doesn't concern me. The government, however, is completely different and I think that data security is very important.

I never really think of how much Google knows, or at least I don't fixate on it. I'm kinda your typical, average, work-a-day homeboy, and there's really not much to tell. Well, 'cept for that one time...

10/31/14 6:16 am

It's that one time that will get you. :)

But then there was that OTHER time... :D

Good that Google knows me. Better search results.

10/31/14 1:32 am

Yep SOH is worse

10/31/14 3:59 am

Yep. Google just knows facts. SOH knows how I operate.

10/30/14 11:48 pm

I have no idea how much information Google knows about me. I don't put much information out there. But it does make me a little nervous to think how much SOH knows about me and where that could end up.

I said no, but I have no idea. They probably think they know more than they do.

Nah. I don't give a shit who knows how much I spellcheck, what my weirdest questions are, where I've been, or what I order online.

PartyFree Nowhere in Particular
10/30/14 9:27 pm

Nope, but it sure knows a lot about another person with my first and last name living in my state.
In fact, when looking up my teaching license you have to know my middle name to find me - and my first and last name combo isn't really common.

meh, I choose to use the service, as far as I know they aren't being evil with the info, so sure, they can learn away

To be fair, this is by my standards. Them merely knowing my gmail is more than I'd like.

where else am I going to go to, to find things out about myself? Of course they know too much.

tdaddy Kentucky
10/30/14 8:17 pm

No, but when all government records are combined with all private records, and the one world order has to decide who gets sent to the Soylent Green works, if Google is assigned a key role in the selection process then things may get hairy. ;)

I have a problem with Google Bedroom

tidford My little piece of heaven
10/30/14 8:17 pm

Absolutely - they know all about all the toys I've already bought and in whose ads I have no interest. They are clueless about what is next on my list.

Before they got so "smart" their ads were MUCH more useful.

1 step forward, 10 steps backward.

10/30/14 8:08 pm

Google 'knows' a lot of wrong things about me. This is by design. Once I realized it was impractical to opt out, I simply adopted the strategy of feeding it wrong, contradictory, or absurd information about myself.
It thinks I'm red years old.

Casper Deep inthe Heart ofTexas

I'm glad they are so smart.

I'd like to get to know me better.

Rotavele Alabama
10/30/14 7:57 pm

They know my porn, they know my passed health history, they know a lot about me.

If you guys want to be safe from google though use the SW IRON browser. It's Google chrome with all the tracking/intelligence removed and security increased.

Rotavele Alabama

You can use ads and add ons the same. The Germans developed it but the support speaks perfect English now that they've developed.

Spartacus AUSTIN
10/30/14 7:54 pm

No. I'm very diligent about limiting the amount of personal information I allow out of my control.

10/30/14 7:56 pm

They track your searches. A public profile is not the only thing that defines you.

RedHale Texas
10/30/14 8:11 pm

Other's profiles can give away your info aswell.

Spartacus AUSTIN
10/30/14 8:12 pm

I use an search engine that does not use tracking software (duckduckgo) and I don't really put personal information on social media sites.

Spartacus AUSTIN
10/30/14 8:12 pm

They can only give away what you allow on the net.

RedHale Texas
10/30/14 8:13 pm

Even if you don't put it there, someone else might, such as coworkers, family members, friends, etc.

Spartacus AUSTIN
10/30/14 8:17 pm

They can only let out what you allow them to know. I am not an open book, I don't freely share very much personal information even with family.

RedHale Texas
10/30/14 8:22 pm

Well, to me, google even knowing where I hang out on Fridays, where I work, and what city I live in is too much info. I guess it depends what you consider 'personal'.

Spartacus AUSTIN
10/30/14 8:26 pm

You can put whatever information on the web about your personal life you want, I choose to restrict that information by not using Twitter, Facebook, or any other social media site with anything that compromises my privacy.

Diogenes FreeMeBe

I'm with you Spartacus. I have used and for years as Google has always been a front for the DOD.

Zod Above Pugetropolis
10/30/14 7:48 pm

Yes and no. I wish the Google knew less about me, because I don't trust it not to share what it knows with any government hack with a boilerplate blacked out "warrant"; I wish the Google knew enough more about me to return better search results.

I usually can't find much at all about myself with Google, even when I want to. My first name & last name match those of a celebrity couple (her 1st; his last) so most hits are about them. You have to dig to find the actual me, I think.

10/30/14 7:41 pm

My address, personal photos, and personal information are not available to Google.
All they know is that some random person likes "redpilling", a few anime, and gaming.
Nothing too personal :) so no. I prefer to stay as anonymous as possible online.
