Yesterday was national chocolate day and today is national cat day. Cats and chocolate- my two favorite things. Do you have a favorite breed of cat and type/brand of chocolate?
Please don't buy an animal when there are so many shelter animals available needing your love. I have had purebred Siamese, Russian Blues and Persians (& Poodles!). But to be truthful, my bestest animal companions have been "tramps" and throw-aways.
Torfin, they aren't always "someone else's problem". Many times, owners die or move or someone gets allergies. If you want a purebred, go to Petfinder.com and search for the breed. Rescue pets, even cats, are so loyal and awesome!
We have adopted purebred West Highland White Terrier dogs from rescues on Petfinder. They are awesome! We have fostered purebred Australian Shepherd, Golden Retriever and found homes for them that way.
I love Maine coon and all kinds of kittens. Milk chocolate filled with marshmallow and or caramel and nuts. I do not like exotic ingredient chocolate with lavender, pepper, bacon, etc.
Spartan, I lived in NC until January. I found that some malls open tiny See's shops right after Thanksgiving. There was one I could get to in Durham for a taste of home. I hope there's one near you soon!
Cat no, with chocolate it's a tossup between Toblerone (because of the chewy caramel bits) and Milka which has a bit lower melting point than other chocolate, so it quickly melts in your mouth which makes it taste stronger.
We've had a number of cats. One of our vets had a Maine Coon cat in her office...it was HUGE. Looked like a lion (possibly because his name was Leo...).
The right cat will turn anyone into a fan. Mine is 15.5yo, had her for 15 years now, soooo many issues but I loves her & couldn't image a home without her. But I've always been a fan of cats...and dogs. Fur babies make life special.
