Should it be legal for one citizen to pay another citizen to pay someone to vote a certain way? (Assume the citizens are not affiliated with any political campaign
Yes it should be illegal.
Democrat? I used to be.
Reduce taxes, get their vote.
Give them money. Get their vote.
Make promises get their vote.
Tell them lies, get their vote.
Are you a Democrat by chance?
Democrat? Used to be!
Yes. But as long as it isn't coercive and is of the consent of the voter(s). It's your vote, you should be able to do what you want with it. Any making it illegal would be unenforceable. You could say you wanted to vote for the candidate and that the
Money was an unrelated gift.
Why do liberals see voter fraud here with this issue but not elsewhere?
I just brainwash my apathetic friends and they end up feeling passionate enough to vote the way I want them to.
One eligible voter, one vote. No one should get more say than anyone else, no matter how many votes they can afford to buy.
Why not? Should the government be able to tell you what can and what cannot go into your voting considerations? 0bama himself was elected with the aid of various bribes of cheap insurance and higher wages. This would simply be a more direct bribe.
This is something that us Greens are big on. A corporation shouldn't pay for a candidate to vote/support their opinion. Democrats and Republicans both support it.
Good luck enforcing it............
That's what the Crotch, oops I mean Koch brothers are doing
Came here to post this, thank you Nik!
No way. Just another thing that would disenfranchise the poor and give more power to the wealthy.
Yes my price starts at $1,000,000
With all of the un-used votes out there good luck getting that.
That's my plan, no one can afford it, so I'm voting how I want!
I'm suggesting there's a surplus so supply and demand dictates there are others for sale cheaper.
