The "good ole days" really weren't so good, except perhaps in certain ways pertaining to human interactions. Many today would be utterly miserable if forced to do without cell phones, computers, microwaves, DVR's, etc.
I'd love to go back to post WWII just to experience our greatest generation first hand, but I think I'd miss the convenience of technology like we have now.
Unless you bring the future into play. We haven't seen it yet, but I'd bet my right arm future generations will be amazed how we survived under such barbaric conditions.
I think the "good old times" are a myth. A typical example I always use is music: most of the music released in ANY year is trash, but only the good songs are remembered. Going against today's garbage.
