Ray Rice? Ebola nurse? CNN recently published an article encouraging readers not to wear topical costumes that are "cruel." In your opinion, are such costumes generally distasteful or funny?
I'll stick with my Obama mask.
Some costumes, like the Ray Rice one, are in really poor taste and I wouldn't like them if I saw them in real life.
Laugh. It's Halloween
Laugh. Please for the love of God, can we go back to having spines.
I think they're hilarious. Some people are too sensitive.
Ray Rice costume? No. Specific people, specific event, it's a little dumb.
Ebola decor and costumes? Sure, what the hell. We've had that sort of costume out there for years. Why waste a perfectly good hysteria around Halloween time?
I agree with the white face and black face thing.
Here's one of the first Ray Rice costumes that comes up on a Google Images search.
I mean I laughed at first until I thought about if I was that girl and saw someone mocking when I wasn't in control of myself and being dragged around.
Not to mention the black face.
Black face? I thought it was the shadow from his fake afro. I could be wrong of course.
Also the Ebola nurse costume isn't really cruel, it's just retarded.
"Oh wow, I'm so turned on by a girl that touches deadly viruses." - said no one ever
That's definitely make up lol.
Here's a much better one also with black face. (Better as in they at least put effort into it and not stereotypical Afros)
I agree. The ebola nurse isn't all that funny, nor are most costumes about death: zombie, skeleton, etc.
Janay also commented it's sad her suffering amuses others.
